And that's exactly what he's pointing out. He's saying people shouldn't complain.

What I suppose I'm getting at then is that it's just dumb for him to pick on today's generation rather than comparing them as a whole as I had done. Not saying my way was the best way, but it was more fair and sensical.

I remember my parents saying to me "when I was your age...". Now I am 42 and I remember rotary phones, pay phones, and the like. I read some posts here and can't help but feel like my parents. The younger generation seems to have a sense of entitlement and lack of appreciation or what they have. This is of course a generalization and not intended to offend.

I can only imagine what some 15 year olds will be feeling 30 years from now when the new iPhone XG7 comes out with OC3 speeds, a couple petabytes of memory, and a holographic screen, and them whining about "these kids today". "When I was your age I had 14.4MBps downloads and I was thankful I had them!"

Exactly what I was getting at. It's all relative I'm only 19 and I'm already starting to do it. Seeing 8 year olds with cell phones was practically unheard of 11 (almost 12) years ago. I only remember ONE person out of everyone I knew who had a cell phone before middle school. Even then they were few and far between.

Compared to an Android phone like the Nexus Prime, which has a 1.5 Ghz processor, a full 1 Gig of ram (compared to 512 in 4s), a Super AMOLED display with only 6 dpi less than iPhone, LTE/HSPA+, and a 2050mAh battery.... It might be a little behind.

Of course you have to factor in the crappy android OS, which makes the iPhone the best by default. But if you go strictly by hardware....

The "higher" specs in other phones does not put the iPhone "behind" in any way shape or form. And I'd be willing to bet that the 4s runs iOS 5 better then the prime runs gingerbread. The truth is, Android isn't even close to iOS at this point. iOS is just so much smoother. And I've tried to love my wife's Dinc2.
