Haven't seen anyone in the real world with an iPhone 6 Plus

The first week I had my iPhone 6+ I got ask about it. Everyone wanted to hold it. I now have the Apple leather case on it, so I guess people don't know what it is at first. It was kind of cool being one of the few to have one, but it can be scary letting people hold it.

Oh and I have yet to see anyone other than me with a 6+. I enjoy that, but I know that will change soon enough.
 
If I ever get my 6+, you can be damn sure no one else will be holding it just because they've never seen one.
 
I have seen a few. I was at the bank the Monday after launch day and the ladies there knew I was lining up for the Plus and were excited to see it (I live in a small town and have known the entire staff of the bank by name since I was a kid). They were all gathered around looking at it when another customer came up and pulled his Plus out. He said he had pre-ordered and asked to see what my Apple silicone case was like.

Yesterday I saw another, I was in an electronics store asking about any new 6 Plus cases they had and another customer who was also looking told me of a few store locally that had some cases in stock.

I think it's a little rare to see them right now only because of how hard it is to get one. Once the supply catches up to the demand I'm sure they will be seen in the wild more often.
 
I have one and saw another when we grabbed a quick bite to eat last night at the table beside us.
 
Saw a hot girl with a plus looking for a case at the shop.. Having a plus my self .. Well.. You can guess what happened next..
 
I've seen a couple of Pluses in customers' hands at the Apple store (purchased already, not the display models, obviously). And I've seen one or two of the 6 out in the wild.
 
Oddly, I have only seen a couple of 6's - one being DH's. No 6+'s. I have a 6+ and while at the mall, I was using it to look up nearby stores since we were looking for a particular item. A worker in the store we were in became all enamored and said loudly, "Ooooo, is that the new 6+??? Oh, WOW!!"

Just the way she said it and the attention received from those who heard reminded me that these phones are still really rare in the wild and that many are still in the hunt to own one.
 
I have seen a customer at Wal-Mart with a regular 6 and someone that works in Pharmacy I believe, I'm not sure, I just saw that he was wearing a white shirt. But he had a space grey plus in his shirt pocket.
 
I saw this really handsome, well dressed muscular guy at the store with a 6 plus. Then I realized I was looking in a mirror :). Love my plus. Had many people ask me, is that the new plus?. Then they want to play with it and ask me if I thought it was too big. Saw a woman using a 6 at the store.

Is that supposed to be indicative of something other than the obvious? Who would expect a phablet to be on pace with or outsell a smaller, one-handed phone? That's never been the case. The Galaxy Note has never even remotely come close to reaching Galaxy S sales which remains Samsung's bestseller. Why anyone would expect differently with the iphone 6 is a mystery.
 
I would guess that it's because the vast majority of people still get their phones from their carrier stores, and the carriers (at least our local AT&T company stores) have hardly seen any 6+ phones in their inventory.
 
Had mine since day 1. I am a business owner so I'm always on the phone and I've been asked to hold and see it by many people. I haven't let anyone hold my phone, but my wife on the other hand, she let's everyone hold hers. I told her to stop doing it. PS - I also have huge hands and can still use it one handed.
 
I guess I've saw the most 6+ in the wild! So far I've saw two 6 pluses and 3 iphone 6's!

That's what I've been most annoyed by! I don't like taking my device out because I hate when people touch my phone. I personally dislike touching anybody else's device anyway. Finding the right way to say no is challenging lol. Especially when I see them hit the power or home button with all that force its like their jabbing a knife into my heart.


As for seeing the 6 in the wild I've only seen one 6 Plus in the train. Besides that I don't think I've seen even a 6 yet except my sister has the 6

I know what happened, nothing went down, you sheepeishly just stared at her, and never said a thing. I bet she was creeped out.:D
 
I have yet to see any but someone saw mine when I was trying to call my wife. Overheard the couple saying big phone but very nice design and display. ;)
