I'll explain the situation... 1. I buy an new ipad Pro in Japan 2. I take it to Australia and give it to a friend 3. Friend wants to buy Applecare in Australia to cover it. Is this possible? I've checked Apple's site regarding warranty, but it's quite vague. On the one hand it states they may restrict warranty to the place of purchase, yet in another place it says Applecare is worldwide. Anybody done this previously? If it were me, I'd just get the Applecare here and I'm sure it would be fine overseas, but I can't buy his Applecare for him here... I think??? Thanks.
