Hello, sorry for my English
MacBook Pro early 2015
i7 3.1ghz 16gb

the problem is after updating on os x catalina, cooling fan shuts off completely RPM 0! the cooling system algorithm has become very incomprehensible...
can hang 0 if there is no cpu load, load appears also 0 rpm, turns on at peaks of temperature 90-100с after that it can work as expected 1300rpm idle, after it can become 0 again
maybe Apple thus wants to kill old computers
1) the cooling system has become very crappy
2) the temperature got bigger
3) no internal ventilation
4) lowering os x yielded nothing

is it possible to downgrade the EFI version?

I will be grateful for any help

Is it possible the fan is failing?

Have you removed the bottom case to look for signs of damage or obstruction?

You can't downgrade the efi.
the laptop is new, yes I shot the lower part, everything is perfect and I described that the problem is precisely because of the catalina

I use the tgpro program and when the fan turns off, the program says that it turned off its hardware, as there is no CPU load

You bought a new 2015 MacBook?

Is the heat causing the MacBook to slow down?

Does it feel a lot hotter than it was before? Do you have temperature readings before and after Catalina?

How long have you owned it? 1year 30cyсles battery

Are you using it any differently? No

Are you using the same program to measure temperatures? Yes tgpro i use this soft 8year from all my device

I'm not sure what else you can do.

If it's not under warranty, you could try opening the MacBook to see if there is dust that's interfering with the fan. You could also change the thermal paste.

inside the laptop as new, I myself am an electronics engineer

this is the culprit apple, it's all about updating rom

I have a 13" late 2013 and mid-2014 15" that both run the latest bootrom that was included with Catalina. Both are quite and run cool.

The latest Mojave has the same bootrom revision as Catalina.

it’s not a matter of silence at all))) it is quiet, I am concerned about the rpm 0

mojave and catalina have the same smc and the difference rom

The latest Mojave security update gave my MacBook mid-2014 15" bootrom 159.0.0.0. It's the same one that installs with Catalina.

My suggestion is to call Apple. I'm not sure there's anything that can be done. You guys can debate bootroms till you're blue in the face but the fact remains the fans are not working. In one sense it doesn't matter that the machine was upgraded to Catalina, it may very well be a coincidence, especially since this issue is completely unheard of as a problem with upgrading.

apple makes silent computers thereby killing them
company policy - I do what I want, and I spit on users

This message from the TGPro program is telling you that the fan stopping is normal and safe behavior. I have a 2018 13" MacBook Pro which definitely turns off the fans when the computer is running at low load.

@Drim First of all, you need to climb out of that "Apple is ruining my MacBook on purpose so I have to buy a new one" rabbit hole. You've been in there for too long, and it has already affected your common sense. Neither Apple nor Dell nor Acer nor any other company are actively destroying their own products in order to force people to buy new hardware. Period.

Second, I don't think this is abnormal or unusual behavior. Unlike the 15" MacBook Pro, the 13" MacBook Pro has always shut the fan off when temperatures were below a certain threshold. That's not a secret (in fact I would dare say it should be common knowledge by now), and I'm honestly surprised nobody other than @chrfr caught onto that yet. That said the fan should turn on once your temperatures reach a certain limit. That message above simply states the fact that the fan is off, which is expected behavior in 13" MacBook Pros.

If you want to manually adjust your fan's behavior you can try using Macs Fan Control, which should allow you to override Apple's firmware fan and temperature curves and run the fan to your liking.
