That it was an error and they got it straightened out. They are caught up on stock for Christmas so I will pick one up this weekend.

First off, AT BEST, you are intentionally trying to rip-off your cc company.
They offer rewards points for card members who use the card to make purchases for themselves.
(it's a reward for using their card, get it?).
You sir are using your personal card to buy other people expensive
items, then getting their cash. You are "stealing" unearned reward points from your cc company, AND SHOULD BE REPORTED.

I disagree. CC companies make more money on credit card transaction fees than they give out in rewards so they'd rather that you rack up on rewards than pay through other means (cash, debit, etc.) as the latter won't earn them any money.
