Well, I really like the Space Black SS Bracelet 42MM for $1099. I'm not sure if I like the SS with sport band ($599). I had a Citizens Divers watch which the rubber strap was affixed to the case, and on two occasions, the rubber strap cracked and I had to send the entire watch in for service.

Since then, I've never purchased a watch with a strap thet I can't replace myself. I question the durability of it. Now, take a look at the SS with Black Modern Buckle, it has a loop on both top and bottom of the dial. I wonder if this loop can be unscrewed to replace the strap. The downside, it's offer only in 38MM ($749) not 42MM.

All of the bands are easily replaced with the mechanism that holds them in place. There is no need to remove the leather from the connector. Apple has created a connector to swap bands in a matter of seconds. It's one of the biggest selling points.

Still a 3 way split, anyone else made up their mind? I keep tossing around space gray aluminum vs stainless steel sport band

These two are killing me

I know damn, so close too I need to make up my mind now. I thought I settled for ss but alum space gray looks good and cheaper too.

Someone on another thread said they were getting SS because they tend to pass their Apple products on to their mom, who gets bad reactions over time to aluminum. I've had allergic reactions to cheap jewelry with a high nickel content, as most people do, but otherwise don't have known metal allergies. I was wondering how much more likely the aluminum sport watch would be in provoking an allergic reaction. I was already a bit concerned about the band as rubber-type bands csn make my skin itchy and trap sweat. I've never (knowingly) worn aluminum jewelry pieces before.

I tend to have a lot of allergies. This might sway me toward the stainless with ceramic backing. I don't know what the composite back on the sport consists of.

Otherwise, potential allergens aside, I've been waffling among the same choices the OP is. I already have $300 set aside for a Sport model if I decide I want an Apple Watch at all. I'd have to wait longer for the SS model.

I think it boils down to is 200 worth the upgrade and if there's going to be a new version next year and would it justify the 599/699 cost

Is the Apple Watch for you?

"Should you buy it?
In Apple's world, every Apple product has a place:

We use MacBooks when working at a table, as keyboards and trackpads remain the best way of interacting with many apps.
We use iPhones to access apps on the go.
We use iPads to access apps when we have time to switch to a bigger screen.
We use Apple Watch to access apps when we don't want to take out a device at all and can tolerate fewer functions."

I would have gone with the Space Gray Aluminum Case with Black Sport Band

Was thinking about it but I figured it would irk me if I see someone with steel and I would want it so bad.
