DONT CALL.!!! They screwed up. Watch you card and see if it gets charged. If so, call and send it back. If not...KEEP it...PROFIT!!!

Haha as hard as it might be, I'd say give it back. Imagine if you were the person waiting for the iPhone that never came, and then your tracking status said delivered! That would be the most depressing thing ever...

yeah but you giving it back doesn't negate the fact that if it was supposed to be in someone else's box on launch day, they still didn't receive it immediately.

pic added, also apple is offering me stuffs.

Apple customer service is excellent. If you do the right thing and send it back to them they will likely make it worth it for you.

Or, you could be a low life and hawk it on eBay for a cool $600.

Your choice! ;)

wow, maybe your neighbor is anxiously waiting there iPhone and somehow the addresses were entered the same by UPS, oh well you got 2! lol...

idk HUGE moral dilemma. I suggest, as others have mentioned wait a couple weeks to see if they bill you.. If not just look at it as in early birthday gift:p

What is apple offering you? A crappy doc or something worth while?

If they offer a doc, ask why it wasn't included like the original iPhone, then ask for something decent. :p

The FedEX guy just got here, he said he was confused because they both have the same tracking number/shipping ID, needless to say, I have two 32GB white iPhones.

What do I do? I am trying to call Apple but I've been on hold forever, and then lets not beat around the bush there is that not-so-nice part of me that wonders whether or not I can keep it.

Update:

Apple is happy I called them, they're offering me some stuff in return. Rewards ftw.
PIC!

How much did FedEx say your shipment weighed?

That the thing, they weren't in the same box. It was literally like everyone screwed up, Apple put the exact same label on two boxes, when the FedEX guy delivered it he said he had never seen two of the exact same packages delivered like that.

i doubt what they'll give him would be worth it. its not like they're gonna send him another product.

probably just like a iphone shirt and crap like that.

All set, everything is taken care of. They're paying the return shipping and sending me a SoundID 200. They would've caught on to it eventually when someone activated it but there was no record it was sent to me.

I could've hawked it on ebay and got them in trouble, but that's not me.

my guess is, maybe some iphone cases, a headset (bluetooth like you mentioned), a tshirt.

not worth it.

edit:

thats it? i would of asked for more.

For what its worth, I had this happen a few years ago when I ordered a Nokia 6265i. US Cellular sent me two of them with the same tracking number and I sat on it for a while to see if they'd catch on and contact me. A few weeks later I put it on EBay and it turned out the buyer couldn't activate it because the serial number (or something) was linked to me. Luckily he was understanding and I refunded his money then returned it to US Cellular.

It's good that you did the right thing and got a little something for it. :)
