Yeah this has to be a joke LMAO"Apple is simply rounding up more with the iPad 11". 🤣

The target for this is lower grades education, and it needs to compete on price with a Chromebook.
My wife is still using her 7th gen. It seems OK for now. Occasionally laggy, but acceptable.Apple could have kept the 10th gen similar to how they kept the 9th gen when they released the 10th gen at $449.
But I'm very glad they didn't do that.
If this new iPad has at least 6GB of RAM, it's looking like a decent, inexpensive upgrade for my parents' 7th gen (A10/3GB).
Right. ‘Does not support a pressure-sensitive pencil’ is what stops me from buying one. I waited for a few years for that to happen (since I don’t care for bells and cameras on an iPad) but when they sliced the pencil lineup into its current compatibility mess, I could see that was never going to happen. In its current incarnation, "Does not support Apple Intelligence" is a feature, not a bug. Grab one while you can!
I'd quite happily buy this, it's the best one available as it doesn't have Apple unIntelligence or any of that rubbish on there, I just need to wait and see how much RAM is on it,, it's also ideal for my granddaughter I was looking to get her a new iPad as well and I didn't want Apple unIntelligence on it 😂Cue the "this iPad is awful because it has one less CPU/GPU core!!!!!!" crowd, despite a lot of people probably never utilizing more than one or 2 of the cores as it is, and while ignoring the fact the model it replaced is 2 generations older and has the same number of GPU cores as this one.![]()
Cognitive dissonance combined with buyer’s remorse would be my guess. Why do I have the feeling that most of the complaints are coming from people typing on a 13 inch iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard that they collectively spent over $1,500 on?
It’s not worth $599Remember 128GB Version of the old outdated looking SE was from the beginning to the end $479
Don’t expect 16e to be $499 starting price

Ridiculous that a brand new product cannot do Apple intelligence.
It also supports the USB-C Apple Pencil.i am surprised that a new iPad released in 2025 would not have support for Apple Intelligence features.
that aside, I am more surprised that it is still using the first generation Apple Pencil.
i am guessing this iPad is meant to be as cheap as possible for bulk purchasing. that first gen Apple Pencil was just horrible to charge.
It can use the newer USB-C version, if you prefer. The article just said it still supports the older 1st gen, which is a good move for anyone who still has one available.i am surprised that a new iPad released in 2025 would not have support for Apple Intelligence features.

Bro listen up, the iPad 11’s target audience are families and kiddos who do NOT care a shoot about Apple’s whatever AI thingy is, so thats not a big issue for those people, all they need to want is an iPad that gets the job done and can play some Cocomelon (Kids).Ridiculous that a brand new product cannot do Apple intelligence.
I think they’ve had to make changes to do that and changes cost R&D, something Apple is reluctant to invest in under Timmy. A chip swap over two years is enough to call it the all brand new one. That’s Timmy’s Intelligence.Interesting why no C1 modem in the entry level iPad 11 like the entry level iPhone 16e 🤔 I thought Apple was overly anxious to get away from Qualcomm?
I thought the genmoji and image playground were targeting kids and so you would expect all new products supports it.Bro listen up, the iPad 11’s target audience are families and kiddos who do NOT care a shoot about Apple’s whatever AI thingy is, so thats not a big issue for those people, all they need to want is an iPad that gets the job done and can play some Cocomelon (Kids).
I’m sure a lot of kids with get this iPad for entertainment but most schools are using Chromebooks. On time to release the 11th gen iPad. Feel sorry about the Apple Intelligence omission, this will be the staple school iPad for some years, and might have a 6 year lifespan for some of those schools. That's a long time without on-device helper tools.
Yep, education is also a market Apple was once king but neglect in hard and software and Apple’s pricing strategy made lots of schools jump ship.I’m sure a lot of kids with get this iPad for entertainment but most schools are using Chromebooks.
I'm typing on an ipad 9's screen and oh boy, I'm ready to complain. 6gb ram might save this somewhat, I was only looking forward to this because of AI support that means 8 gigs. Sadly this is the only ipad that comes with a keyboard case that's usable for pencil writing too. And the camera bump means the air and pro needs another case for using the pencil, which disqualifies them for me.Why do I have the feeling that most of the complaints are coming from people typing on a 13 inch iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard that they collectively spent over $1,500 on?
