I was charged tax. But my email confirmation order total is strange.

I chose the iPhone 6 128GB Silver which is $849.99.

Order Subtotal: $814.98
Sales Tax: $76.77
Shipping: $16.32
Order Total: $891.75

$35.01 is missing from the total. ???

Anyone has any idea if I have to open the phone to activate or I can just call Verizon to cancel the month-to-month plan. Is there any fee associated?

You have so many days where you can return the phone and cancel service without a fee. I would do that and reorder the device only.

Well, I called VZW retention department. They confirmed that as long as you do not activate the phone with Verizon. You don't get into contract anyway.

So what I did was immediately took out the Verizon SIM and put T-Mobile SIM in. Activate the phone with T-Mobile number. Verizon never have any information of the phone and I don't have to worry about contract with them.

I go straight to the "What type of Wireless Account would you like to create?" screen. Not sure if I am doing something wrong but I thought I followed the steps exactly as described.

Just worked for me - trying to get my hands on a SG 64 6+ after getting the runaround from tmobile. It had an estimated ship date of 11/7, but I'll just hope it moves up. Tired of my ship date getting jerked around by tmobile.

Worst case, I'll just cancel this order (or whichever one comes last).

Try quitting your browser and relaunching. That might help.

Questions:
- I read that iphone 6 (and all others 4G phones) from Verizon will be unlocked/world phone (which better than those factory unlocked phone from Apple b/c they can be used on CDMA while those factory unlocked can't) phone but what about the "carrier" (ESN) thing of this phone if I buy it? will it like free verizon or they still have it under control, on a sunshine day they decide to blacklist or ban it....????
- Can I do the trade-in after buy it to get $200 Verizon credit and how....?

I asked Verizon rep. in live chat about the trade-in and yes you can trade-in if you bring the old phone and the order number after you ordered your iPhone 6 online. It takes 3 weeks to get the credit (usually a Verizon gift-card...)

Anyone who has placed an order for a device-only: How long did your order sit in the 'processing' stage? I did this yesterday afternoon, but when I go to order status, it just says "We received your order and it is in process."
