Anyone who has placed an order for a device-only: How long did your order sit in the 'processing' stage? I did this yesterday afternoon, but when I go to order status, it just says "We received your order and it is in process."

It will sit in this status until it is in stock. I ordered a 128GB Silver regular iPhone 6 device only through the website and got it on 9/19...No issues...Except that I am selling it because I was able to get ahold of a 6+.

I ordered on Thursday at 1:15pm. It was in processing then I got notice it was billed and shipped at 4:00pm. I selected next shipping.

I ordered again on Friday and it took a couple hours to process, then charged and shipped. I received the second order this morning.

Is the model you ordered in stock?

By the way. My 2nd order I ended up having to call Verizon website support to give them a different CC number to bill to. The rep opened my order, said "this order is device only no service?" I said yes. She said OK, took my new CC number. They did not seem to have a problem I was ordering device only.

Doubt it's in stock - it's the elusive and rare 6+ 64GB Space Gray. The website is showing 11/7 as the expected ship date.

I noticed that on the last page when you are putting in your payment info it indicates on top that "Up to 3 payments can be entered for your Order". It has an option of inputting GCs as well.

Now my question is whether there is way to be able to take advantage of the instore trade in of an iphone 4 for $200 GC and then use that GC as a form of payment when placing our device only order using this method? I don't know if VZ store will allow you to just do a trade in without showing proof of previously preordering an iphone 6 from them or Apple store.

If anyone has any insight on this that would be great. Also since I am not a current a VZ customer I don't know if they will accept a trade instore.

I think you can do a trade in without purchase. One of the 6s I purchased was for my sister. When she called Verizon to have it activated they offered her to trade in her old iPhone 5. That was done without a new purchase attached to it.

So if that is possible then when we get the $200 GC from instore we can apply it to our order online? So can get it for $450+tax?

BTW this still works. iPhone 6 Plus just shipped out today. I ordered it last night. No contract, or new line activated, no credit check. Hell I don't even use Verizon lol

If page doesn't work, try opening it in Chrome. For whatever reason it works in chrome.

This Still Works

None of the nearby Apple stores had any stock for 128GB iPhone6, so I used this method to order one from Verizon. Placed order on Nov 22, original shipping estimate from Verizon was Dec 12, phone actually shipped on Dec 4.

I followed the instructions in this thread, only difference was the "back" navigation button on the web page was greyed out/disabled before I got all the way back to the beginning page where I could “Order Device _without_ Service”. At this point I just used the browser's back button until I got to the beginning page and then proceeded to “Order Device _without_ Service” from there. No issues.

When I got the phone I inserted the SIM from my AT&T compatible MVNO and everything works great, including LTE service.

Thanks!

Why does one need to follow this process? I checked their website and there is a selection to buy at full price??
