Just for my info, do you know if anybody invited has ever criticised any i-product?
MKBHD and Brian Tong have been critical of Apple and still get invited to things. Brian Tong is more critical than most and has gotten exclusive access and interviews with Apple executives and other team members.

It’s all in how you go about criticizing Apple. MKBHD and Brian Tong verbalize any disagreement or disappointment in a way where they aren’t attacking Apple and treat it more like they would hope to see Apple improve on those things in the future without sounding patronizing.

It’s called constructive criticism as opposed to some of the stuff that is posted in Macrumors eg: “Tim Crook musk go, Apple can’t innovate and their products are junk”.

But I think it’s cool when Apple opens up their in-house stuff to outsiders.

Don’t jinx it guys, as this reminds me of images shared by Steve Jobs after iPhone 4 antenna-gate. Hopefully this time round they tested it through and the new modems work as they should.

That Mighty Mouse :p

Why isn’t Apple using their own USB-C cable? Is it because of the slow transfer speed?

Apple's cables are packaged one by one. When you need hundreds or thousands of them, it's easier to buy them from someone who ships them in bulk.

While a testing lab is important, where Intel and Apple have failed with RF is in real world use. It might work great in the lab, but how does it perform with 1000s of other devices nearby?
In the video, it says C1 modem was tested in 100+ countries….
Apple must have hidden the C1 modem in the shell of an existing iPhone so that outsiders would not notice…..

It doesnt have mm 5G? Oh noooo...wow...oh noooo. Thats supposed to useful to someone somewhere on a demo occasionally right?

I hope it does well but Qualcomm knows their stuff so we will see how apple does entering this market wisely not starting with a flagship device.

More likely an Android phone so that no one even suspects it’s Apple.

Tested in 100+ countries is bs! Apple hasn’t even confirmed speed tests on the C1 modem.

Great video, Andru. I'm so glad Apple forged ahead with this chip. Because even here, a dedicated Apple website, comments were not too favorable on Apple achieving this. Competition is food for the consumer. The more options, the better.

Dear God, it’s a wireless lab where they remove all wireless signals except the ones they are testing. All Bluetooth and WiFi devices are disabled.
surely the port of magic mouse is in the bottom and thus make them unable to use it, unlike trackpad shown in the picture.
