As a series 0 owner, probably looking to upgrade, it annoys me that I can't order the Cape Code Blue band, considering all the straps (of that style) are the same price.

I purchased the Silver Steel this time because I couldn't find anything regarding the black steel finish. In the past there was a DLC (diamond like coating) for the black steel in order to avoid chipping or scraping. It works great and my series 2 still looks flawless. Anyone know if that's the same this year? It doesn't look the same in the promo pics and Phil Shiller also mentioned (complimented) on stage how the black finish looks "different" this year. Anyone hear anything about it?

FYI - Placed my order 3:10 am, got a 7-10 business day ship date. Also trading in my Series 2 for $115 to  for a refund. meh

I disagree completely. The lighter feel of the aluminum makes it feel like there's nothing weighing as heavy like the SS watch does. Also, I had the second gen SS and hated the screen...the sapphire screen was NOT as easily readable in sunlight like the ion-X glass version is.
I agree with AZ431 completely. Had the same experience. I traded my aluminum for SS 3 weeks after purchase because of micro scratches all over the glass front.

I'm pretty sure that you can't order from BB until release date (next Friday, 9/21?). I too prefer to order from BB, all prices being equal. Might as well get the RZ points.
I ordered from BB last night for delivery on 9/21. SBSS 44mm. Used a gift card I had along with a credit card for the rest.

1 hour talk time on cellular. Pass.

Or 14 hours connected to phone and 4 on cellular (no talking).

Completely agree - but it is a problem for all models. I’ll probably wait for the Series 5 but it’s really poor form to make you buy the same strap you already have. Not to mention wasteful.

At all Apple retail store locations, does Apppe have a recycle return policy?! Hmmm

Crossfit every day while wearing my aluminum watch. Not a single scratch on the casing or the screen. Had a series 0 and replaced it last year with a series 3. Not a scratch on either one and I'm lifting weights, carrying sandbags, swinging sledgehammers, etc. on a daily basis and not a single scratch.

I had not thought from weight training showering and sleeping and normal day to day use that my S3 Nike+ had a cratch yet when I was about to sell it it definitely was there. Didn’t affect my sale in any way but I was shocked.

Can't really justify spending $100s on a watch that has only 18 hours battery life. That just doesn't work for me - a real show stopper.

Unless you’re highly fashion conscious and have a watch that suits your day/night needs then it would be hard to justify.

However food for thought you charge your phone within an 18hr time line as well already so if a Qi wireless charger was compatible then you may reconsider. Plus I’m curious if a great AW Hockey complication would suit your hockey playing and fan needs? Hmmm :)

Having to recharge a watch every 2 days just doesn’t work for me.

No need for ‘food for thought.’ I know exactly what I need, and I have chosen an alternative product that is right for me.

Just accept the limited battery life doesn’t suit my needs. Apple products do not suit the needs for everyone - that applies for any product.
