That I do not know because I do not use custom emoticons since I've been using Adium like forever. I will test it and let you know.
Adium is good but for some reason doesnt give notifications of emails?
Yeh cant believe beta 8 doesnt include offline messages... even the web based ones can do this (i.e ebuddy)!

i have office so I have this and it worked for a while then it stopped working for some strange reason it just wouldnt log me on, I dont rem if this was before or after I downloaded adium
try clicking on the sign in with a different user, click the clear account history option and then type in your email/password. i was having some issues with it last week too

i didnt do anything different and now its working again... *sigh* it is never going to reliable is it.
Messenger Beta 8 suddenly not working any more
I've got three macs and all of them were happily Video conferencing using Messenger and now all I'm getting is a black screen and no sound, no vision. When I call, the other end can't hear the ringing. They're using a PC and Messenger. When they call me I answer and get nothing but a blank screen.
We can text message.
This was working and now it isn't on any of my machines. Which makes me suspect that something has changed at the PC end. Has there been an upgrade that no longer communicates with the Mac Messenger?
