You just know that on the strength of this Rumour, Samsung will have something in the shops resembling this by Easter. Bless
Well, actually Samsung announced it for the first half of 2025, after presenting the first prototype in 2020, and updating it year after year. These rumors are Apple's SOP for pretending we have been working on that for a while too;)

Timmy LOVES to boast about how Apple isn't short of ideas. What bulls***. Vision Pro? An invitation app? Both super stupid ideas.

And all the while, bugs languish in macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS. Great allocation of resources there, Timmy!

It's time for everyone over forty on the Executive Team to go. They're just too old or rich or lazy to recognize good ideas anymore.

Dumb device and obvious staged dumb video. If a dog saw this ball hanging around the house the dog would pee on it.

Who in the clown world thinks disabled people have 50 grand to spend on a buggy crashing robot that spies on them, will definitely sell private data, and will definitely need an expensive subscription?
You do know that a power wheelchair costs as much as a car, right?

Fix Siri first, then focus on robots….

Who in their right mind would spend money on a cyborg with Siri-like comprehension skills.

I can see these robots killing your pets when you ask them for the weather.
“Hey siri, let Fido out to pee”

Siri: “did you mean terminate Fido.”

“No you idiot let them out to pee!!!”

Siri: “Confirmed Siri will terminate Fido.”

"I don't like/understand why someone would like/use blank" is not the same thing as "blank is a super stupid idea” - it means it’s not for you. Firing everyone who has turned Apple into the most successful company on the planet is definitely an interesting approach, but not one that would end well.

Investigating robots is absolutely the sort of thing Apple should be doing. To be clear, that doesn’t mean they need to develop and release one, but if they think they’ve found something then sure - keeping looking into it.

As a side note, can someone fill me in on why everyone who dislikes Tim Cook MacRumors (presumably for the sin of not being Steve) insists on calling him “Timmy”? Do we think calling someone by a nickname he doesn’t use (one that is often used in childhood but is dropped in adulthood) somehow discredits him as incompetent or something? You know, despite being one of the most successful CEOs in the history of corporations?

It goes all the way back to when Cook was selected by Jobs to be the next CEO of Apple. I believe there are many reasons; including his lifestyle for the dislike. But in the end it really speaks to the level of maturity of those slinging insults such as that to one of the most successful CEOs.

Apple is incredibly lucky having Cook at the helm. 1+ Billion active/repeat customers who love Apple products, propelling Apple to becoming one of the most successful tech companies in the world. Cook also takes care of his employees. A few years ago when many tech companies (Meta, Google, HP, Amazon, Salesforce, Twitter, Microsoft, Intel, T-Mobile, PayPal, LinkedIn, Dyson, DropBox, Lyft, Ebay, Yahoo, Cisco, etc, etc) were having massive layoffs, Apple had none.

A long time away and plans might change in between. Expecting it to take another 5 years more before such a product is actually available for purchase.

I’m still trying to figure out what it would be used for. If it’s stationary, that limits what it can do.

The billionaire class need to spy on you to make sure your threats about eating them don’t come true.

Selling your data and charging you $1000 for a robot ball with a $20 a month sub is another bonus.
