The screen on the iPhone X is already really tall, and reaching control center is already a difficult task. In order to make a bigger phone, Apple would need to increase both the vertical and horizontal dimensions of the phone, and I just cannot see Apple making the iPhone X any taller. Thus, the iPhone X Plus will not be coming in our future.

Why would a same height but wider device not be possible?
Apple would not do that. There wouldn't be enough of a change to differentiate two different versions if they simply increased the width.
This makes zero sense. They increased the dimensions of the phone when the 6+ was released. They could & would do it again if they felt there was a market for it. From the majority of Plus users that either returned or held off on the iPhone X I would say without a doubt there is a thirsty market for an iPhone X Plus.

I think you’re wrong about this. Apple can and likely will release a Plus size iPhone X. I see no issues with aspect ratio.

Simple - make it slightly taller than the plus, and increase width. Bam, iPhone X Plus.
They could increase the width and add support for Apple Pencil. Soothing the nerves of the naysayers who bash Apple for not having stylus capabilities. That's why I would do.. You heard it here first folks..

Probably not for most on this forum. I'd guess most prefer iOS. I do think a Plus is coming next year (6.4). I don't see it being an issue. The Plus or comparable phones from competition are all 2 handed phones.

Nah, I'm sure it will be released next year. Apple has sort of side stepped the question already when asked about it. Their comment was they released the iPhone X a year earlier than they meant to due to market shift. There has already been reports of a Plus sized model in testing back when the iPhone X leak in the firmware for the HomePod released. I think the only thing that stopped them from releasing a Plus version this year is the supply constraints which reports mistook as being the X model.

I’ll agree that control center needs to be rethought. I don’t really know why the old app switcher gesture couldn’t just be used for control center. 3D Touch left it right side of screen to activate. Simple.

Why are you bothering with this on an iPhone sub-forum on an Apple centric site? The majority of people here prefer the Apple ecosystem and the iOS experience. Obviously OP wants a large iPhone and hasn't and likely wont consider an alternative platform... Android or otherwise.

Think globally and not in myopic terms.
Every major manufacturer has a plus size form factor. Is Apple limiting their own potential by selling a product smaller than S8 Plus? Samsung has a trio of products S8 - S8 Plus - Note 8. So does Huawei. Would Apple stick to a single size?

A plus is definitely coming next year. The market for it is huge, just as the market for the original plus was huge.
My iPhone X is roughly the same size as my wives iPhone 7. With the X being all screen and matching the current plus somewhat in screen size just in a smaller footprint, this leaves the door open to make an even bigger screen in the current foot print of the plus! All this means is that Apple is doing away with bezels and the home button and those older phones will get phased out because Face ID is the future for Apple and by next year it will most likely be the standard.
My honest opinion is that the X is to small of a phone for me, I want the bigger size phone where watching movies on is a joy, where I get all the land scape goodies, and where I get that crazy battery life. It’s coming and just like the original plus phones...it will be a huge hit and you will see little handed girls using the phones just like the current plus and managing because Apple has this thing called reachability.

What on Earth are you talking about? I never said Apple wouldn't make a large phone. You seem perplexed that people on an Apple / iPhone forum don't care for your shilling of alternative platforms. that's the point here.
Apple WILL make a Larger X. I'm sure there are plenty of theories or reasons why they haven't already. Supply constraints, OLED yields, or just the impact of launching a 4th device in a single product cycle... I don't suspect an 'X Plus' will be here in 2018 especially when Tim Cook admitted they rushed the X through ahead of schedule. Will apple pursue it? Yes. Probably 2019 but thats a baseless guess.

The days of one size fits all are over. There will be a Plus size variant next year. Apple isn't going to risk losing the huge segment of the market that prefers the larger screens. And by larger screen, I mean larger "usable" space, not just larger spec.

Don’t believe all that you hear, it’s all for hype.
Samsung will build all the screens Apple needs, don’t fall into the screen BS theory that there isn’t enough screens, or that there are supply restrictions, Apple will find a way, and together with the next biggest phone manufacturer (Samsung) those phones will be ready to roll for 2018. The old phones are done, the finger print scanner, the bezels, all done and sent to yesteryear status.

100% agree, I’m one of them. The X feels a wee bit small for me. Awesome phone, but feels a lil small and doesn’t feel like a tablet/laptop in my pocket as the plus always did and allowed me to do everything a tablet allowed me to do. The X is phone, the plus was considered a small tablet.
