I am not a big fan of large screens and lack of one handed use. I criticized my friend all the time when he had a Note, and even he went smaller eventually. BUT, buying the iPhone with the inferior camera, inferior battery, and inferior screen was not something I was willing to do.

Camera is the number one thing on my list, so Apple forced my hand to a larger phone. I'll try it for a year, and if the size proves too unwieldy, next year I'll get the smaller iPhone 6s since I'm now on the Next program.

You people trying to justify one size over the other just to make yourselves feel better about your purchase crack me up. The harder you say that's not your intent the more it shows.

I'm going for the man-size iPhone 6 plus, not the watered down girly version.

:D

haha.. they're both great phones but I have to admit the fact that every 10 year old girl in my daughter's school has the same iPhone 5 as I do made me want a more MANLY version of the iPhone. lol

Personally, I'm still torn. I have a regular 6 on reserve at the store but I want to put my hands on the 6+ before I fully decide what I'm buying.

I did just the opposite. Cancelled my iPhone 6 preorder that would have delivered on 9/19 and will wait on the Plus around mid-October.

To decide I had printed the size comparison PDF. I also played with a friend's original Note and tried stuffing it in my pocket. To my surprise it fit just fine and didn't feel like I was carrying a brick or anything. And the iPhone 6 is thinner and I believe lighter than the Note.

It was also easy enough to use with one hand for simple things (plus you can reach the top of the screen with Apple's new reachability). For typing I use both hands on my 5 anyway, so its not a big problem either.

Would it look silly talking on it? Maybe just a tad. But I always use my headphones for conversations, and I don't care what I look like for the once in a while occurrence of answering my phone unprepared somewhere for 2 mins.

And what do I get from the big one? Better battery life, especially for listening to stuff and standby. Two biggest things I do are taking walks where I listen to music and podcasts and inevitably spend time in poor reception zones. It's good to know my battery life will last 2x or 3x as long basically meaning it won't drain nearly as fast as the regular model.

Also, I do some business things on it and the larger screen will be better for spreadsheets and documents, not to mention nicer to surf the web and READ on. Maybe I will actually start using the Kindle/iBooks apps on the phone for the first time and not have to turn the page after each sentence.

So tons of benefits of going to the larger size, the only drawback is looking silly once in a while when I am in public and do not have my headphones (very rarely). It's a no brainer to me.

Go to a Verizon store on Monday or Tuesday and I bet you can walk out with a 6+ and cancel your order. My prediction - there are going to be floods of people returning them. I won't be one of them - I think the 6+ is a better phone for me, but if you're coming from a 4 or 5 the size is going to be shocking, and I think a lot of people don't understand that. When first got my Galaxy Note I was shocked by the size when I started to use it. It takes some getting used to, and I bet a lot of people will instantly decide they made a mistake and try to exchange for a 6. I'm glad I got the +.

I've been using an iPad mini with skype on it as my only phone, and can't imagine going to a smaller screen. Am curious about the 6+ though....

I've yet to see a graphic showing a proportional side-by-side of the two devices...

iPhone 6+ should be exclusively sold at big & tall stores. I also wish that the entire demographic for the iPhone 6+ was the big & tall demographic.

my strategy: most difficult one to get is the 6 plus so i ordered one of those. (not the gold, though). wait time for this one will be the longest. if i don't like it or i find it too big for daily use, i will return it and get the 6. not a difficult choice, really.
exactly. i got lucky enough to order the 6+ and receive it tomorrow. if i don't like it within the two weeks, i can always return it for the 6, which is much easier to get (only 7-10 day wait vs. 1 month).

I ordered the 6Plus (which I will receive tomorrow) as I liked the Galaxy Note. As others have mentioned, if I decided it's too big I can return it and order a 6 which has a much shorter wait time.

And you use Chuck Norris as an example? Small light and fast ;)

Surely someone like Steven Seagal should be the 6+ person, slower, fatter and not as good looking :D.

Don't mess with Chuck! He can kill with one hit, just like one hit with an iPhone 6 Plus.
