I got the 6+ but I have been having the worst case of buyers remorse. It'll be really interesting how my impressions will be when it arrives. If I don't like it, I hope it'll be easy to return it for an iPhone 6.

I just wish they pulled an iPad Air/iPad rMini and made both phones have the same specs but different sizes.

The iPhone 6 has the best size hands down. I think I could manage a year with a 6+....

When I see these types of threads they usually come off like OP trying to reassure themselves about not getting the 6 Plus they secretly want

Some people will, but I think they are defending their views why they chose rather than attacking others who make a different choice.

The iPhone 6 Plus should not be overly big. Being a male it should fit in most pockets and most women have bags.

My big concern is dropping the thing. The larger surface area is surely more likely to break if dropped. And due to the size I maybe more likely to drop it and a case will only add to the size. I'm going to have to treat this thing like a baby. Oh, and I am hoping it will fit in my current in car holder, I will need to measure how wide it goes.

I think I will see alot of threads like this once both are available. Some buyers will post how they went from 6+ to 6 and even vice-versa. It is a confusing time for Apple fans. First time ever Apple offered us two different sizes and both bigger than its predecessors. There will be alot of buyer's remorse and even have some reverting back to an older iPhone.

I think I could be ok with the lack of OIS and even 750p resolution/lesser ppi on the 6. The deciding factor could really depend on battery life and if the gap is large enough to go for the 6+. But yes, I pretty much expect alot of switcheroo-type threads going from 6+ to 6 or whatever. Wishy-washy times.

If you're not getting a 6+ or a 6 with 128gb, it's not really worth upgrading if you have a 5 or 5S.

I wasn't planning on it. I don't want a bigger phone than the 5s. Then they introduced Apple pay, and I thought that I had to have it. Then they said pay was US only, then I decided to stick with the 5s. But if I lived in America I would have ordered it.

When you're trying to justify a decision then you tend to try to ridicule the choice you didn't make in order to make yourself feel better.

Perfect. So true and we all do it. Great response. Thumbs up for the clever post

That's nonsense. I have a 5, it has a processor that's two generations old, no touch ID (not that that's a big deal), a camera that's 2 generations old, but more importantly, it will be out of warranty in about 2 weeks. I have a 5 with 64gb and I'm getting a 6 with 64gb. The best part about it is that it's $100 cheaper than the 5.

I did just the opposite. Cancelled my iPhone 6 preorder that would have delivered on 9/19 and will wait on the Plus around mid-October.

To decide I had printed the size comparison PDF. I also played with a friend's original Note and tried stuffing it in my pocket. To my surprise it fit just fine and didn't feel like I was carrying a brick or anything. And the iPhone 6 is thinner and I believe lighter than the Note.

It was also easy enough to use with one hand for simple things (plus you can reach the top of the screen with Apple's new reachability). For typing I use both hands on my 5 anyway, so its not a big problem either.

Would it look silly talking on it? Maybe just a tad. But I always use my headphones for conversations, and I don't care what I look like for the once in a while occurrence of answering my phone unprepared somewhere for 2 mins.

And what do I get from the big one? Better battery life, especially for listening to stuff and standby. Two biggest things I do are taking walks where I listen to music and podcasts and inevitably spend time in poor reception zones. It's good to know my battery life will last 2x or 3x as long basically meaning it won't drain nearly as fast as the regular model.

Also, I do some business things on it and the larger screen will be better for spreadsheets and documents, not to mention nicer to surf the web and READ on. Maybe I will actually start using the Kindle/iBooks apps on the phone for the first time and not have to turn the page after each sentence.

So tons of benefits of going to the larger size, the only drawback is looking silly once in a while when I am in public and do not have my headphones (very rarely). It's a no brainer to me.

Wow. You seriously just realized

Yeah, your post caused me to actually watch the keynote. Panicked a little, made a cardboard cutout, then realized I wouldn't have ordered differently. All good.

Go to Best Buy. Play with the demo phones. The Note 3 is closest to the 6+. Then handle the smaller phones. If you can avoid big screen envy, then you too can opt for the smaller screen.

After watching a few more videos and reading up, I'm going to get the 6 I think and cancel my ordered plus.

Battery life on my 5S wasn't an issue, rarely went below 80% and I have chargers everywhere I go. The bedroom, kitchen, HiRise on my Mac, the car, desk at work. I even have a portable charger that I can take with me if I go out for the day and use GPS. That used to charge my 5S more than twice from nearly discharged.

OIS - real world usage, bet it won't make a difference apart from maybe low light situations- burst mode on my 5S always got me to pick a great shot

Resolution - Does the plus constantly downscale? It's going to take more processing power to push the extra pixels as well as the downscaling it will constantly have to do. Probably not noticeable however?

Size - I commute 4 days a week, and occasionally have to make calls. I think it's going to look daft making a call on that. 129g instead of 172g also.

That said, I'll reserve judgment till Friday when I can hold both in store. Also sways it for me that I have preordered for pickup the 6 for Friday yet the plus is nearly 4 weeks from being delivered. Oh and the £80 I'll save.

Hope everyone is happy with what they purchase, I can see the plus suiting a lot of people out there, just don't think it's for me.

I decided to play around with the new iPhones when they appear in apple store on 19th and then will decide which one I should get.

I have 5s so I'm not in hurry and am satisfied with what I have.

Solution to this problem? Buy 2.

iPhone 6 Plus for me, and the iPhone 6 for the spouse.

Problem solved. :)

Anyone ordering the 6+ (and getting launch day delivery) that regrets it is STUPID.

Why?

They could literally sell it on Friday and buy the 6 outright with the profits.

See what you think first, but don't regret it. And whatever you do don't return it lol.. You could sell it right there and make $$$ in the process.

Well, I preordered 6, but due to OIS camera I was seriously considering canceling 6 and get 6+ instead. Today I also made a cardboard of the 6+ size. It seemed I could manage the size of it when I put it in my hand. Later I went to nearly ATT store to check out similar sized phones. Note 3, LG G Flex - these all felt much much bigger (huge huge) than the cardboard that I made. Considering that the cardboard is actually bigger than those two phones (in length wise), I figured 6+ would look much bigger in my hand than those two phones which I simply cannot accept. So, today I am giving up my consideration on the 6+ and sticking to the 6 that I preordered.

There's this theory that states the less the choices impact your life, the more time is spent on the decision. In other words, there's really very little difference between the two choices otherwise it would be an easy choice, and ergo your decision of one phone over the other will have very little impact.

So that's why everyone I've ever known has spent 10 to 80 years deciding between two brands of ketchup, depending on how long they've lived. To this day, I do not know one person who's ever had any ketchup before they died. I never found an explanation for this until now.

I love my Mophie case with the built in battery. Mophie has to have a Juice case before I even think about buying a 6.

That pic is a windows phone not an iphone 6 plus.

I'm sure the OP totally needed to be told that...it isn't like it was a JOKE or anything

But seriously, if you really don't get it, the picture was just showing an over-exaggeration of what it's like talking on a phablet.
