If anyone is inclined to dispose of nicely aged leather goods, I’ll gladly take them off of your hands. I quite like that look.
Does anyone know if this year’s Navy single tour is the same color as last year’s? The Apple site has it labeled as a 41/45mm band so I’m wondering if the color has changed at all. Also has the shape of the lugs changed much/at all between 40/44 and 41/45 watches? I vaguely remember @athousandbands posting something on this topic at some point but wasn’t able to find it.
For those folks with the Fauve Barenia straps, have any of you performed the Hermès glycerine soap treatment (passage au savon) or treated the band with the Hermès saddle balm?
I remember reading towards the start of the thread some members recommending that treatment prior to wearing the bands as a means to minimize grease/oil strains.

The hero shots seemed different enough that it was a new color but I’m looking now and maybe it was just the Apple Store app’s dark mode. I think Bandbreite would have picked up a new part number.
The lugs are definitely more round on all the non-Hermes bands I’ve gotten, not as dramatic a shift as series 4, but you can see the sport loop plastic sticks out a little taller.
Oof, that looks like a lot more than just standard ageing to me. I've had mine for a month or so and it's still quite pristine compared to that.

a) does the band look like it’s woven incorrectly with the seal on the outside by the connection area?
b) is it shredding already?

I think it’s meant to be on the outside, but not quite sure about that one.
Have been wearing it everyday, since I’ve got it roughly 4 weeks ago, and it’s not tearing down or shredding so far. It’s still sturdy like day one, which makes getting off the watch for charging the toughest exercise. 🤣
Glad to hear it's in good order and shouldn't have doubted quality from Apple that I'm fully aware of being upstanding. I'm sure you'll come up with a removal routine that works easier for you in time.
If one’s wrists are well below the max circumference for a 45mm single tour, does the shorter Attelage buckle piece work with a normal lug swapped in? Or does it throw off the balance of the straps?
A lot of people say don't mix metals, and I tend to agree, but I noticed yesterday in the Hermes store they actually had this exact combination on display, so what do I know!
I will say though, the stark contrast of the space black watch and the silver lugs is a better look than the halfway in between combo of the graphite watch and silver lugs.
I’m pretty OCD and it doesn’t bother me when there mismatched. I like the contrast between the SS and SBSS. I don’t want to limit my band choices because of the lugs and I am not about to change them out either.

I recieved my double tour Fauve barenia from hermes online. However i just realise they are of different color/patina. How do i make both of them the top and bottom the same color?

Can you return it and order a new one? That’s what I would do (here in Germany).
I would return/exchange it. You shouldn't have to do anything to get them to match in color.
double tour 44 is a stock fund, it is unlikely that they will change it. in which country did you buy it?
I wouldn’t worry about it. After a few days of use the whole strap will darken (and Not always evenly). That’s the beauty of the leather.
I have read that some people use the Hermès Saddle Soap and the Hermès Saddle Balm to treat/condition their Fauve Barenia items, which seams to darken the leather and accelerate the patina. You might want to consider that route.
