At 85% Apple will not do anything, that is true.

If I look at your picture, this looks like normal wear ant tear microscrathes. I have it too on my watches. I sometimes polish them with "Cape Cod" polishing cloth and get them shiny again. "Cape Cod" removes an incredible amount of scratches on steel surfaces.
The damage I was talking about is the dent next to the speaker (?) cutout. It wasn’t there until the watch depot got their hands on it.

Happy to report I’m very familiar with Cape Cod!

I get a dark blue steady ring with orange inscription with "always on" in both variants of that watchface.
Your version additionally is much too bright for an inactive "always on" display. Strange...
Hmm suddenly the orange border is gone in always on mode.
I’m not sure what is triggering it.
Does that happen to you?

Same - just realised the orange border for the AOD is gone. I actually prefer it this way though, it’s less glaring
I personally love it.

But I only noticed it in the past day or two did you have that orange border for a long time?

I also downloaded the new iOS watch beta. I wonder if it’s related to that??

I only got the AWU3 last week so I only noticed it was gone today, and that's after I updated my phone to 26.5.2 (or whatever version it is now). My watch isn't on any beta though still running watchOS26. I reckon this was rolled out somehow with the phone update?

Problem: I installed IOS 26 on my phone yesterday and now none of the Hermes faces are showing up on the phone and “my watch faces” is empty. The watch will update tonight but what’s going on? The watch faces are on my watch but there are no Hermes faces on the app?

Plus the app is totally non-responsive. Can’t click on any watch face etc. 😕

What to do? Help!

Welp, never mind.

I updated the watch and all is well! 😀

Apple’s watch repair depot not only failed to repair my worn out battery, but they dented it, packed it up, and sent it back to me. This is the fourth Hermes I’ve bought, and getting help for the service that I am trying to pay for out of warranty is like pulling teeth. They make them non-serviceable and it becomes your problem once the battery health begins to drop.

It’s my second watch they’ve damaged and returned to me (first was a series 0 that they clearly dropped and allowed to skid across the ground). Pitiful customer service.

This is my last Apple Watch as long as the awful, awful, awful repair depot exists as your only option for service. Make sure you keep AppleCare+ forever if you’re going to own one of these!
What is Repair Depot, the only authorized 3rd party service company for Apple Watches?

It seems like all these places out of who-knows-what reasons are extra rough or do as little as possible. I remember a Windows PC I bought I noticed the HDD was immediately defective. I had to wait 2 weeks, but the repair place only did a software diagnostic test. I know that because I called the repair place and told that's all they did. I had to wait another 2 weeks for them to actually swap the HDD out. Of course, there was scratches all over the place.

The depot is apple’s only in-house option. They dont repair them anywhere else.

Hi all, first time poster, long time lurker here.

I’ve had various Apple Watches over the past 4 years. I’m currently using an AWU2 along with a couple of the standard bands for everyday use (Alpine loop; Milanese Titanium). I recently got the “itch” to up my setup with a Hermes band.

I understand there are only two Hermes bands that are specifically for the Ultra range. I opted for an En Mer (got it new for a really great price) which I’ve had for about a month already and mostly wear it when I want to dress up a bit for an occasion, although it would be great if it was a bit more versatile.

That aside, I wonder how well the band will hold together over time. I don’t wear it at night, nor when I am working out or when it might be exposed to the elements, as it feels a little flimsy. So I’m wondering if I should have gone down the Scub’H route instead.

I’ve tried the Scub in a store and think it might be better on the Ultra than the En Mer. More durable, chunkier but still light wearing and likely better for the sea/pool than the En Mer. However, the titanium clasp and lugs on the En Mer look more sturdy than those on the Scub. Also, the Scub has a sportier look than the En Mer.

In short, I’m in a bit of a dilemma. I know the forum default may well be to “get both”, but what are other readers’ views here, especially those that have owned both or either for some time?

Grateful for any insights or views. Thanks in advance!

scub H holds up really well in comparison to the en mer, less staining (but can be cleaned with soap water) the scub h is super durable and very easy to clean and keep looking like new.

I dont think the en mer is as flimsy as you make it out to be. They both hold up quite well in my opinion ( but I rotate through alot of them)

what colour en mer did you get?

Thanks; a lot of reassuring comments here. Either way, a band from Hermes is an investment and I’m sure many here will agree they’re bought with the intention of making them last as long as possible.

The En Mer for me seems a little weak at the lugs. The fabric wrap-around those connectors doesn’t look as good as I’d expect from Hermes. Then again this is my only Hermes band so I don’t have anything to compare it to.

I got the Noir/Bleu Nuit colour and I’m looking at the Bleu Néon Scub’H.

I also really like the Ecru Toile bands (single or double). The fabric on the side that makes contact with skin is super smooth and silky. It’s a shame those bands are not specifically made for the Ultra size. Not sure if anyone here uses that combination.

they will comfortably fit the ultra if they are the larger series 10/11 etc watch (44/45) source... me... I have a bunch of stuff that fit that was designed for the "larger" series Apple Watch

Understood, but will they ‘hold’ the weight of the Ultra?
Does anyone have any pics of this set-up? Toile with the Ultra.

They will hold the Ultra. I even use a Tricot band with my Ultra. The Toile is much sturdier and the En Mer is rock steady.

Historically, can we expect any Hermes’ related update with Watch os27?

Or is that only really limited to new Apple Watch updates etc?
I believe a new face(s) are sometimes released, but I have never seen them in the betas so we’ll have to wait. I’m personally hoping for a new face … my ADHD needs lots of shiny new options that I’ll quickly forget about after a couple days. 🥳 And since I’m tapped out on bands for the time being, a face is all I can hope for!
