It's time to party, Faubourg Faubourg Party! 🎉

My Hermès S6 was due for retirement and figured it was time to upgrade. Unboxing this year's Apple Watch Hermès decade of partnership packaging was a delight, but the star has to this fall's Faubourg Party strap.

In a beautiful shade of deep blue, the jacquard knit material is similar to HU En Mer straps, but smoother and softer on exterior texture and durable interior. Out of the box, it's stiff but molds to your wrist and becomes flexible after subsequent wear. I was anxious seeing earlier 46mm samples where the strap wasn't very wide at the lug, but relieved with the one I received—not too narrow at the lug and sewn tight.

It's definitely in the top 5 of my favorite AW Hermès strap and ugh, gonna have to double up 🤭

*Apologies for the poor color balance and lighting*

Could you do me a favour, and show me the Faubourg strap on the HU3 with the Maritime face? I’m wondering how it would look on the Ultra. Is it as wide as the En Mer?

Definitely and hopefully these pics help visualize how HU3 + 46mm Faubourg strap pair together—also gave me an excuse to whip out the Mitutoyo.

Lots of pics incoming! Please, click on the thumbnails to enlarge.

*Note, I calipered these very quickly, since my SA was glaring at me, and difference could be off by +/–0.30mm*

I measured the Faubourg at two points—at lug width and strap width—and En Mer just at the strap width, since my adjustment strap width at lug is just slightly narrower.

TLDR; Absolutely luvin' Faubourg + HU3 w/noir Maritime watch face.

*Edits, fixed thumbnails*

Wow! THANK YOU!!!!!!

So much detail thank you so much. I think you could be a sales person at Hermes or Apple as that is now in my wishlist when it comes back in! I know it will look amazing on my S7 Hermes, but I also think it looks excellent on the HU3 too!

Did Apple discontinue making/selling the Hermes Sport Band in Black?

Apple Support spent 51 mins on phone with me, couldn’t find it even exists in their systems. They only found the Orange version, same as came with my Hermes Series 11 46mm.

You could only get it with the Space Black Apple Watch Hermès. Since there’s no black Hermès watch for years now, they can’t even find it any more in their system I guess.

In the past, I think some people needed the serial number for Apple to be able to locate it.

Anyways, they might have also run out of them.

This was the case back when I had a replacement a few years ago, also in the good old days with other watch exclusive bands. Without a serial number for the specific watch, the parts did not show up.

nice! that is a fun Hermes AW face with a current difficult to find in stock band

I am a longtime reader and now finally feel the need to comment about a frustrating issue that I have not seen mentioned elsewhere; hopefully this (the AW Hermes owner's thread) is the correct place vs starting a new AW thread in the AW Forum.

I have owned Apple Watch Hermes editions in the distant past and jumped back on board with the current offerings.
I started off with an Hermes Ultra 3 with the Scuba strap, which is "one size fits most" specified for wrist size (circumference) down to 155mm. I'm right @ 159-160mm and disappointingly found the last punched hole still too big and so had to return it. I was also disappointed that the Hermes Ultra 3 did not include the Orange Hermes Sport loop band or even all the Hermes AW faces- esp no Faubourg!)

There were no AW Hermes edition variants to try on in-store, so I then ordered a
Hermes AW Series 11 46mm case size with the beautiful (and $$ !) Grand H bracelet;
similar problem with the MEDIUM size (specified for 160-175mm)- with both removable links removed, it was still too large(!). I also saw that the nice Hermes Orange Sport band included with the 46mm case is M/L (no S/M included like I have seen with Sport loops purchased in the past), which is much too long for anyone with a slender wrist that wants the larger case size, so would be a wasted extra premium band (and risk messing up if willing to try and cut shorter)

I returned that and reordered the same Hermes AW Series 11 46mm but with the SMALL size Grand H bracelet
(specified for 145-160mm); after removing 1 (of the 2) removable links,I was finally! able to achieve a good fit.

As an aside comment, I noticed the Grand H bracelet is hallmarked (reassuringly) "Made in Switzerland" but only "Stainless Steel" (instead of 316L Stainless Steel) that I have seen with a AW SS Link bracelet I previously owned and could not find that specification marked on the bracelet or mentioned on apple.com anywhere, but on the
"Need help choosing a band" link when configuring, at the very end of specifications for all of the bands available,
there is a comment "Stainless Steel bands are not water resistant", which makes me wonder if though being a premium Hermes series (with premium price !), if the Grand H is a lower tier (not 316L) and therefore not as corrosion resistant ?

So now on to the main reason for this post-reply on this Hermes AW owner's thread-
I happily (and gently) wore the Hermes AW 46mm with Grand H bracelet (size S) for less than 2 days when while in the kitchen, I head something drop to the floor- the watch felt loose on my wrist and that is when I saw (with dismay!) that the R lower lug had fallen off(!!) causing the watch to almost fall off my wrist (and potentially damaged) !
I came to see that the attachment lug is 2 pieces that connect in the middle through the end link of the bracelet and are attached to the case connecting lug by the tiniest screw ever (with a proprietary head), which was fortunately still seated in place- it was coated with blu locktite which obviously did not do the job holding things together. I therefore had to return this watch as well (drive an hour to the nearest Apple Store), quite disappointed with a design with such a precarious point of potential failure. I still really wanted this watch but the Apple Store expectedly did not have one in stock for exchange, so with a bit of trepidation, I ordered another one from apple.com

Same story!!- wore it for about 2 days, heard (fortunately) something drop to the floor with the same problem !!
So now I have been through two (2) of this ($2000) configuration (46mm Hermes AW Series 11 Grand H bracelet-S) which failed within days of gentle use- hardly a premium product experience !

Has anybody else had this issue ?
I also have the Hermès Apple Watch Series 11 with the Grand H bracelet (46 mm), and for me the Small size is just a bit too tight, while the Medium is too loose.

If you happen to still have one of the links you removed and would consider selling it, I’d be very interested. Of course, I’d be happy to cover a fair price as well as the shipping costs.

Please let me know if that might be an option — I’d really appreciate it!

ty for reading my lengthy post a week or two back about a post-purchase problem with the Grand H bracelet that another forum user posted about shortly after

i really wanted the Hermes Series 11 paired with the Grand H bracelet- it really dresses up so well!

I had the same problem with 3 (!) separate bands (all within the 14d return window thankfully!) falling apart due to the tiny screw that holds the attachment lug spontaneously coming loose, while just gently wearing around the house. After a bit research of research, I found that the right tool to tighten those "pentalobe" screws is a Wiha 26762 PL2 available on Amazon. I posted about this post-purchase experience on the apple.com discussion forum, thinking that a QC person would notice (the moderator replied with a direct link)

Another user there replied he had the same issue, just outside his return Window, and I was extremely concerned to hear that AppleCare would not cover this problem and he was directed to contact Hermes directly(!!)

At this price point, I decided it was not worth all these hassles and reluctantly returned it, so unfortunately, I do not have the extra links to offer to you

So been checking everyday on the Apple UK site for a Fauxbourg Party Band, and whilst I wait I thought I’d use the next best thing I have with the face. Nice to get the Jumping out again.

Nice! I’ve been using En Mer bleu nuit in the meantime or Kilims.

You’ve reminded me I’ve got a Jumping in bleu saphir/orange (old photo w/S6) I should unbox.

Slightly off topic but I didn't realise Hermès released a new MagSafe cardholder that doubles as a stand. Pricey but I want it!

I’m going to need this once it shows up on the US website, especially if they do it in another colorway.

But still just one card 😮‍💨

i haven't been in love with most of the releases from hermes for the single tour 44-46mm watches over the last 2-3 years... but picked up a couple new ones this year. really liking the black one with the clou du selle, it's a nice little detail. the blue torsade is SOOOO comfortable, and the black bridon has been my daily driver for the last few weeks.

i also love all the attelage ones, you can see how much wear the orange got. it's the only one that's really worn!

if i could keep only one... it would be the rallye with the red accents/interior.

i really want the faubourg in 46mm, i saw one in the local shop but it was on a watch, not sure they had it for sale. should have jumped on it at release!

Torsade is also my favorite- most comfortable watch strap I have ever worn. I have the blue and the red. I have the Bridon coming in soon, was hoping it would be similarly comfortable.

so there was a silver-lined ending for me to my saga with the Grand H bracelet, ordered with the 46mm case (worn gently around the house and within a few days of purchase, spontaneously falling apart at the attachment lug, due to the tiny pentalobe screw becoming loose- this happened with 3 separate bracelets!!) (see post#16,591 10/10/2025)

I went of course to return (reluctantly) the watch (for the 3rd time!!) and resigned myself that I would have to "settle" for the "regular" Titanium AW Series 11 (Silver finish on Hermes not available, closest alternative being "Natural") and purchased one for pickup.

I reviewed my post-purchase experience(s) with the Hermes AW configured with Grand H with the Apple Store manager (who was excited to directly see one for the first time; a couple of other associates gathered around as well to give it a "look-see")

It was evident that I really liked the watch and I was told that I could keep the watch and just return the bracelet ($999) refund- I was totally thrilled (!) as I had not anticipated that option since the watch was purchased configured with the Grand H (glad to be able to stay in this Hermes "club" as well 😊)

There was also the most welcome bonus of keeping the Orange Hermes Sport band bundled with the watch (though I guess Apple-Hermes think that only larger-wristed persons want the 46mm case and so only include a lengthy M/L size strap, which I will eventually need to trim when I get the nerve to do so 😅).

Furthermore, I can now repurpose the (pricey as well) Titanium Grade 5 bracelet I purchased last year from sandmarc.com for my Ultra2. (2nd photo below) The Natural titanium color of the bracelet is slightly off compared to the Hermes Silver titanium case and it is not quite as "dressy" as the Grand H (but good enough in that regard to me!)
Additionally, I find the lighter weight of the Sandmarc Titanium bracelet to perceptibly feel more balanced and wear better with the Titanium Hermes AW case vs the much heavier Grand H. I'm pretty certain that the heaviness of the Stainless Steel Grand H (at least for the 46mm case) is too much for those tiny pentalobe screws that hold the attachment lug together, and would never trust to wear it for more than the most gentle use.

As an aside, I noticed that the Grand H bracelet is not hallmarked 316L like the Apple Stainless Link bracelet, making me wonder if despite the preumium price, it is lower tier? (There is a small asterisked notice on the bottom of the order configuration page that the Grand H is not water resistant; another big plus of the Sandmarc Titanium Grade 5 bracelet is that it is fully suitable for use in the water; and with much stronger lug design, won't fall apart on you !!😅)
