Heroes Season 3 CAUTION SPOILERS

That is the thread title.

well, i assume that all the spoilers are from stuff that aired already, not stuff from episodes that has yet to air. what i meant by hiding it is white out spoiler material (as in spoilers from upcoming episodes) so those that don't want to see those types of spoilers don't.

I think the thread title is enough of a warning.

Here's a spoiler for you:

Heroes sucks. The writers took it off course and were never able to bring it back.

Spoilers are think that we think ARE GOING TO happen, not that happened. And I thought about posting it but I read the thread title and I was confident I wasn't going to hurt anyone.

I couldn't agree more, but there is hope.

Fair enough. Although I'm not completely suprised about peter, considering there was that rumor about hayden and milo.

I didn't know this thread was for unaired spoilers, guess I'll have to start skimming posts (quoted white text becomes visible, just so yawl know :p).

I thought that episode was better than previous ones. It's picking up. Thought that Paris scene was rubbish until the twist, and even then it seemed a little too emotional for a show about magic people with magic powers going around being kidnapped or escaping.

this week's episode was both great and rotten at the same time. how, you may ask? let me explain.

it was great because of the character development in this episode among the petrelli clan; we learned a little more about their motivations, their goals and origins. we find out why angela is why she is in the position she is now (and i thought the dream sequence was executed pretty well). also had some philosophical tidbits sprinkled through the show that helped it along, which is also good.

it was rotten because the plot went nowhere (i'm thinking this was more of a development episode), and TOO MUCH PETRELLI DRAMA. if there was any more of this family, the show should be renamed 'meet the petrellis' because they fill up half the show overall with their dirty laundry, etc. i hope after next week's show, the family drama becomes a side story, because i think the excess drama is hurting the show. and talking about drama, this episode felt more like a soap opera (the show has always been a bit soapy, but this one takes the cake), and if this is the future of heroes, i see lower ratings in season 4.

Well that was a bit dull, that whole church scene with Peter talking to God. No. Just, no.

And such little progress with the relationships - the big one being that bad guy and Sylar but everything else was so minimal. Why did they stretch out Nathan and his mums and Claire and her dads story to fill a whole friggin episode for such little revelation?
Who is writing this show now?

God this show.....:(

:(

It is realy pushing me away, iv been with the show since it's start but it has been getting really pointless and bad

Hate to say it but I agree with you. Not that I'm not going to watch it anymore, but as of late I've been catching it on weekends off the DVR rather than on Monday night at 8pm sharp like I used to. Cold Snap was a step in the right direction but from what I've read online that was Fuller's only eps for this volume...which means more of the usual main character flip flops, bad dialogue, and endless plotholes...::sigh::....

Lost > Heroes [you know it's true]

Facts are these...Heroes has become dull and obvious. Sylar still wants to kill people [duh], Claire still has daddy issues [check], Hiro still prances about aloof as all get [yup]. It's like there never is any payoff. Remember way back when there was supposed to be a bad guy "worse" than Sylar? Um that ended up being Parkman's dad...whack. Then There was supposed to be this awesome company founder guy that was killing off all the older Heroes and they were scared...yea not even Hiro was scared of Sark...err....Adam. Then they finally brought in a believable "bad guy" in the form of Poppa Petrelli and then quickly killed him off because they had no idea of where to go with it....double whack.
The "Hunter" guy Denko or whatever is a complete joke because the kid looks like he's going through chemo...sorry just saying....they need to introduce a viable threat other than Sylar to spice things up and get characters motivation to be clear. Oh well here's hoping....end rant.

I blocked this out until someone mentioned "Superman" yesterday.

"You were supposed to be Superman" was hands down the worst line I have ever heard in anything, ever.

Being a Heroes fan since it started I think now it is the time to throw the towel. Lately episodes have been sucky. I started watching Lost and I think I'm going to be doing it for a while until Heroes gets back on its feet.

I keep hoping for a left turn to get it back on track, but sadly, it's getting worse.

I think the realignment of the Heroes vs. Gov't made the show a little boring. Even Bennet is squarely in the Heroes camp, although his toe was in and out of that pond many times.

Making Sylar a shapeshifter was probably the biggest mistake of the show. It seriously gives the writers a cheesy out for just about any situation. He was the last really interesting character and they pretty much committed character suicide with him.

Baby Matt Parkman??? OK for the cute factor, but the whole break Matt Sr. out of his funk was extremely rushed. In fact that whole interaction with the new guy seemed rushed. You killed my girl, so I'm gonna kill your relationship??? Why did they even bother...

Oh well, we'll just have to keep our hopes on LOST for now...

I thought that was better than the recent episodes but it's still so... grah! Ok so

- The trucker was ace! Bad idea getting rid of him so quickly.
- Every dialogue with Coyote Sands was just terrible. All them holes they dug were way too perfect, why didn't Angela just tell them what was up? I wouldn't have wasted what seemed like 6-12 hours digging just to see a skull and have more pointless drivel "there are more". Oh great. Thanks. What is it all for? Lost can pull off cliffhangers, Heroes can't.
- Parkman. I really liked the bit where he found out she was an escort girl. That was a really good scene but they had to ruin it didn't they :( The scene with her, Matt and Denko was just pants.
- Sylar. Waaaaaaaay too predictable. It was obvious that divorce scene was him. They didn't even need to show her/him walking away.

So I'm guessing Coyote Sands is where they bred/engineered these powers. Please don't be something as blatant as that. And why did they all have to go there? What really is the point to this

Finally a decent episode in the season.

How much you wanna bet they ruin it next week.

Where do you think they found Alice? Down the Rabbit hole of course!

Decent episode? All it did was tell me the whole show is just repeating itself and plans to for a while.
Don't think I'll bother with next season.

the stupid power company decided to have a blackout right in the middle of the show, so i ended up missing a few minutes. can someone fill in the gaps between around 9:40 to 9:50 ish? thanks.

anyway, thoughts on last week's show: i thought it was okay, expect for the part about them wanting to keep their powers secret again for the company. if that were to happen, wouldn't volume 5 be season 1 all over again? if so, i don't think i'll be watching...

Wow, this is sad, I don't even remember...

What part did you see up to? Sylar chased Mica out after Mica suggested he could be bigger/more important than he is. Sylar is lining himself up to be the next President of the USA. Nathan and Sylar face off in Nathan's DC office, but the bald guy get's them both in the office. Although Sylar didn't die from the knife to the back of the head, so there's something different there. I guess they are tying the alternate future together where Peter shot Natan in the future. Maybe Peter is no going to kill the Nathan that is Sylar...

Matt Parkman was looking to get back with his first wife (which is a different actor now?) and spend time with baby Matt Parkman, but ultimately decides that he doesn't want to run, he's decided to get back into the fight. They raided the Wifes house again and he did the Mind thing to make them invisible.

They are really ruining Sylars character. His shapeshifting back and forth between himself and his mother is pretty disturbing. It's very out of character for the show.

Next week is supposed the be the season finale? I thought I caught that. We'll see if they can get their act back together next season, otherwise this is being removed from the DVR list...

Yikes...my DVR cut off like the last minute or so. Anyone see what happened after Denko smashed Sylar in the back of the neck with the switchblade? I saw Sylar start to get up and that's about it...

he got up and took the knife out of his head and said to danko "that hurt." and that was it for this week.

the show is getting mundane and boring. if next week's show comes up lame, i won't be watching the show come fall.

So... Sylar now has mummy issues and can no longer die from his weak spot. The dullness continues. I take it he's going to end up in a grave next to that English immortal guy from Chapter 2?

Or someone who has the power to take powers away will get to him. Remember Nathans Dad? I would think that Peter just has to touch him and might get lucky with borrowing the right power.

Casket is much easier though!

watched the season finale of heroes and it started out great, and i wish they did shows like this more often, rather than spending most of the season on slow paced fillers. the high point of the episode was when sylar and claire was kicking things up and the brothers jumped in, then things went down the toilet very quickly, right after nathan was killed. they then make for one of the worst endings i have seen in a while in which they decide to turn sylar into nathan because mommy 'didn't want to see nathan die like this'. how pathetic in so many ways, and in fact i'll break them down for you.

1. it's a cheap way for angela to have her wishes again (where have we seen this before?), and repeats the whole flip flopping of what the show calls character development. flip flops aren't annoying if it's one character or if it's just one flip flop per, but this is getting stupid. choose the direction and stick with it.

2. you can pretty much say goodbye to any hope for a reformed 'company', it looks like it's the same thing again; deceit, lies, secrets, expect with a family name on it instead of a group of friends. as nathan's body burned in the bonfire, so did the chances for interesting plotlines next season, as they went their merry ways again.

3. it keeps the overworn sylar into the show. i personally think he should have been gone there, although many have said he should have been outed much earlier. in retrospect, i agree, he should have been dead after season 1 and made room for a new villains.

the preview for next season wasn't really interesting either, it was expected, more sylar as the villain (old) and more ali larter fanservice (old).

this show is going nowhere, it's just the same plots over again, as it looks like the company will be naughty again based on this awful ending. i'm probably not watching the show when it comes back, and i expect the show to be cancelled after next season if they don't think of something NOW.

I agree on the ending. If Doctor Who has told us anything dead should mean dead, I agree with their reasoning though. Nathan was the one who had to fess up about it all. He had both superhuman and political power so he was in the best position to bring this to the attention of the president/public or whatever.
But its just another way of making Sylar yet a-friggin-gain to come back to life and become a bad guy once more yada yada...

Oh... and she's back for the 3rd time. I give up. I won't bother with the next season.

I don't know how US TV works but Heroes would have been so great if they just made 25 episodes every few years with a really good plot. Or even as a one off.
