Is anyone else disappointed with this chapter of Heroes? I'm not even sure I'm going to continue watching it. It is like the just make this stuff up as they go with no planning. The only character I even care about anymore is Sylar. I loved his line to Luke in this week's episode. "I didn't kill you, and that's kind of big deal for me."

i'm feeling the same way. it's very flat and uninteresting. it's like the same plots rehashed over again from current events, previous seasons and comic books. i've been taping heroes the past two weeks while watching 24 with the family and if next week's show stinks, let's say i won't be upset if the tape recorder breaks.

This show is dying a slow death. It is dead last in the ratings. This is probably the last season. It is kinda sad since at one time it was a good show. I can't see NBC keeping this on the air much longer since they are now competing with the CW for last place on Monday night.

Here is a link to the monday ratings.

i would give heroes one more season (partly because we saw how good it could be), but start the season in january on sunday nights following football to help the ratings and give the writers a few more months to really plan this out. if it's still flat and dull and ratings drop even further, cut it loose.

I don't know what to make of it. I like Sylar being partnered up with a kid, reminds me of X-Men in a way with Magneto gathering his cronies.

IMO it should have just been 1 series. The first was so brilliant. I think they took it too far in giving/taking powers.

one of the original plans of the series was to feature a different set of people each year instead of the same folks all of the time, but since the stars got so big, they were kept on for more stories with that set. and when the show reached the point of no return i think was when it became the claire and family show in the last arc.

How many times can they milk the "someone's after the Heroes, both sides have Heroes working for them, let's keep it somewhat ambiguous as to who the good and bad guys are" plot lines?

let me add to that list: prophet that paints the future, world in peril, new york is the center, claire doesn't trust her dad. there's little growth since season 1. this show is full of problems, and i think short of a reset starting at the end of season 1, there's not alot of hope of plugging them all up.

one of the main problems is i think is the cast is too large, leading to 40 different stories to follow, which is overload (anything more than 2-3 storylines per show can be considered overload). i personally think a few more people should have been killed/written off after season 1. i'll post something a bit later of what i think are the major problems in the show and when i thought the show was doomed.

Probably many more times - she has the biggest appeal in the show by far, some might call her the main character.

I really like this show. I enjoyed the 3rd chapter very much - I have probably watched the episode where Peter goes into the future with future Peter and sees Sylar the dad like 10 times. That episode blew me away.

However, I seem to be the only one of my friends still interested in the show. When you have options on Monday like 24, it's hard for someone who isn't a really dedicated heroes fan to tune in. I think the combination of unlucky timing opposite one of America's most popular shows, along with tired story lines, is going to brun this show to the ground.

It's a damn shame, too. The first season was so amazing, and I have really enjoyed seeing all the cool things everyone can do.

I will stick it out one more season, then we'll reevaluate.

Edit: one thing that is killing it for me is the time traveling. I love it when they go into the future, I really like seeing what everyone is up to and how they have changed, but there have been so many different visions of the future in the series, it's hard to take any of them seriously.

Does anyone know what happened to Micah, his cousin with the ability to mimic anything she saw, and Molly?

written out.

anyways, i thought the 'is noah good or bad' storyline has been played out too long, they should have either made him stay good after season 1 or kept his loyalty ambiguous to keep us off track. claire and her dad's relationship has not been any good at all and hasn't grown any.

btw, anyone think the sylar storyline is mostly a way to keep him on the show essentially forever? a villain like him gets tiring after a while after he's caught.

the nathan/tracey storyline was pretty good, and probably the best parts of the show.

the show is doomed.

written out.

Micah, and the cousin, I can live without... Molly was an odd disappearance since she used to be in the care of Parkman and Suresh, then all of a sudden they were both out doing hero things and she was gone...

They just need to get Peter his powers back and have the rest of the season be a knock down drag out fight between the heroes and villains. The only reason Peter needs his powers back is that he'd be the only one capable of going head to head with Sylar and having a shot.

Question, since Peter can only hold onto the power of the last person he touched would he have all of Sylar's powers if the two made contact?

I'd imagine so, since when Sylar takes powers he seems to keep them forever.

This is really going down hill. I'm still going to watch it mind.

Who do you guys think Rebel is? My guess is someone with the ability to locate people with special abilities.

And what ever happened to the Flash girl ? She died and Parkman just forgot about her? Didn't Suresh lost his abilities? What's he doing as a hostage?

And we saw what Nathan did using Tracy as a bait so Peter can run.

I think The Hunter has abilities.

Rebel? Molly, the little girl, can locate people.

Flash girl is dead, what can he do?

Suresh still has super strength.

Is The Hunter Claire's dad? If so, I think so too.

No, The Hunter is that bald guy who works with Nathan and can't stand him. As for Molly I thought she was dead.

Is it just me or does Heroes seem to be written by 5 year olds this series? The dialog is so bad that the actors look pained when saying it. It was even more painful watching it.

I have to check how many of the writers from the older seasons are still there.

At least battlestar galactica is there to keep me entertained and lost is there to... well... keep me lost :D

I think this half of the season is infinitely better than last half. I appreciate the consolidated story line. The writing is already starting to get better. Last week's episode was more character driven as will be the episode that premieres on Monday. Seriously, Claire was considerably less annoying last week. HRG is always great. Nathan is playing his role perfectly. If they can sustain a good character development balanced out with action, they might just keep up interest for another season.

My gripes are still with this Ali Larter character(s) still existing as well as the relationship between Hiro and Ando. I've gotten over the hokey laugh bits after the 1st season. Now, that Hiro doesn't have a power, he's becoming this self-obsessed caricature of his former self. Write him out or give him a power so he and Ando can become the superheroes he so desperately wants them to be.

As far as Tracy or whatever her name is this time, it upsets me to know she's not getting written out. I wish they would stop milking her multiple personality crazy lady clone disorder. Supposedly, she's getting a more significant role next season.

And if REBEL is who I think it is, that's going to suck. *cough* MICAH *cough*

I think it was when Claire was getting the first few txts, I was thinking that Claire took the usual amount of time to reply but the replies were instant. I don't know if that was just TV shows being lame or yea, that could be Micah doing his magic higgeryjiggery with electronics.

To be fair, I'm pretty certain that the Nikki/Jessica character is dead, so no more multiple personalities/super strength woman. Tracy is the second of triplets that we know of. I've seen a lot of people who think that Nikki and Jessica were the other two, but from what I've seen, Jessica was a sister via adoption, so we still have one more Ali Larter character power that we need to find.

Rebel is going to be 2 characters, Micah for the tech access, Molly for the location of the target.

Yeah I never thought about Micah. But I'm not sure because he never 'got to meet' the heroes. We just have to wait and see, hopefully it won't be disappointing.

Maybe Micah is the Rebel. His expertise was manipulating electronics. He can probably see their plans on the computer and texts Claire

The show really did take a left turn this year... I can't see this lasting much longer. Sylar is about the only interesting character left anymore. I wish he'd off his little brother there... He's really annoying.

After watching last weeks show (2-16-09) and the Keystone Cops routinue that was the plane crash I now dub Heroes the new A-Team!!
Congrats to whoever is responsible for making a show that had such potential into just another piece of Hollywood dribble.

I was thinking about this last night - do ya'll remember one of the seasons (I forget which one) where, in the future, HRG was helping people with abilities make new lives for themselves? There was some sort of test that used paper - if the paper turned a certain color, you have abilities. I think that this future is going to apply to what is going on right now. Eventually, they will develop the paper testing technique, then it will come to surface that Nathan is a "hero", and he will be ostracized. HRG will start a movement (in primatech) to help all the people he has wronged.

heroes just jumped the shark. a picture of a major city exploding/on fire/in peril painted on the floor of issac's apartment as prophecy. hmm...where have we seen that one before? let's add in the other pictures of the future and matt turning into a nutcase to that due to those pictures.

most of the rest of the show was forgettable, it had too much of an 'it's been done' feel all show and i didn't really get into it.

that was an alternate future in season 1's 'five years gone' that never came to pass.

Floor painting of a different city going up in smoke? Yawn.

And what did them flashbacks show that we didn't already know? Other than acting as some kind of dull filler whilst the only interesting thing this series (Sylar and his pops) isn't mentioned at all.

I was losing faith, but I found this week's ep to be pretty compelling. Some good story advancement, a few awesome uses of powers (specifically sweet mind-reading), and the awesome Sylar story...Some pretty cool stuff

What was the number of this weeks episode?
(In season 3 please).
I've been watching it on Netflix, and and am up to Episode...19 I think.
