Heroes Spin-Off Cancelled by NBC
NBC has pulled the plug on Heroes: Origins, the Heroes spin-off that was slated to run next April. The network declined comment, but sources said the possible strike by the Writers Guild of America which could happen after the guild's contract expires midnight Thursday played a role in the decision.
"Looking at everything in context of the strike, were evaluating all of our production commitments," said one insider. "Scripts havent been written yet."
Origins was designed to provide fans with six episodes of a fresh Heroes-related show in place of repeats in the spring. If the labor situation changes quickly, the network could revisit the decision to scrap the show. Reporting by Stephen Battaglio
dl is dead!!! wonder how he died, because it probably wasn't something on camera.
Didn't DL get shot in the confrontation with Linderman at the end of last season? Barely pulling together enough strength to stand up and reach into Linderman's head to kill him?
if you read the graphic novels, dl lived through the gunshot episode. he clearly died of something else. and the tombstone said he died in 2007, while the bomb went off in 2006.
B"D.L. (Leonard Roberts) makes the ultimate sacrifice for Niki (Ali Larter) and Micah (Noah Gray-Cabey)"
The writing of Heroes is terrible. People die and then come back to life with no explanation. There are so many inconsistencies with the story line that it is nearly impossible to follow. They are just rambling.
I will never watch another episode of Heroes.
i say give it one last chance, since next week is the flashback show.
and dl in last night's show was a mind manipulation, not the real thing.
Uh, except for Sylar (which actually kinda has been explained a little), who?People die and then come back to life with no explanation.

"Fortunately we were able to hustle back," Kring said from a picket line in an effort to shut down the show. "The audience won't be left in a lurch."
I have not figured out how Sylar came back to life. I would be grateful for info about that and also how Peter and Nathan survived the explosion.Uh, except for Sylar (which actually kinda has been explained a little), who?
Not going to say this season has been great. It hasn't. And the end of last season was disappointing, but it's still an entertaining show.
Update on Kring:

There are way too many story lines going on. A plot line is abandoned for awhile, and then weeks later, it is opened again.

The first season was awesome, this season has been terrible.
