Guys, I found the following:

I think he's too opportunistic, but I do hope he's so right! :D:cool:
Full of fail.
so.. the imac will just be a screen? WHY NOT JUST GET A REGULAR SCREEN?!

It would be a dock including a screen, not just a screen, or the connector they're talking about would be pretty pointless. Edit: an imac-shaped dock and screen, if you will.
I was also thinking, if all ports are on the left wouldn't it be annoying for all people using an external wired mouse???
Nope, works fine on my macbook (where all ports are already to the left), no problem unless your mouse cable is very very very short.

 Care to explain??

okay

1. if the keyboard stays the same size and
2. if the area around the keyboard looks proportional to the current macbooks as it seems so in the pictures and
3. if the lid is the same size as the keyboard/palm rest and
4. if the screen stays 13.3

then the bezel will be huge as hell (note that the 13.3 screen on the current macbooks is as wide as the concave area of the keyboard)

i was hoping for a smaller macbook like the 12" powerbook with super thin bezels but in a 13.3 format.

looks like ill be buying teh macbook air instead.

ok im confused. I see people are saying that there is an ethernet jack and that there isnt one?

Can anyone clear up for me? (The page at the source doesnt want to load fully for me). An ethernet jack is very important to me because the dorms at my top choice school (St john fisher) don't have wifi (unless theyve done some updating).

The page at the source didn't want to load for many people :). That's why around page 6 of this thread all of the photos are posted. Some more than once.

I'm surprised know one has noticed that the holes in the speaker grill have changed from the offset crisscross diagonal holes (like the stars on the US Flag), to an even amount of wholes in each row & column.

Also is me or the cd drive slot excessively larger then usual in the pictures?

The speaker grill was discussed a few days ago, when the first photo of MBP case appeared.

What issues? can you please tell me?

Are you serious? How about all the failures, Fire hazards from the cables shown in many posts here that melt and spark on both ends of the magsafe cable for starters. Then there's all the hype about wireless charging and the built in power supply posts. ;)

well its not even a rumor its kind of a spoiler. and the pics are kind of dissapointing... since they are, ya know, real and all...

Everytime we get close to an Apple event, product pictures are leaked. Happened with the iPhone, MacBook Air, iPod Nano etc.

I'll say it again, this is a rumour site. If you are unhappy with rumours, which a fair few end up becoming true, why come here and moan about it?!

Wow! I searched for mini Display Port as well when the MBP photo (the angled one) first appeared, but I didn't find anything suggesting it existed. You're definitely better at the ancient art of Google-Fu ;).

So I think I'll adjust my earlier guess of it being either yet another DVI or mini Display Port to the latter.

BTW if it's mini-DP indeed it would mean one less thing to complain about... until Apple's connectors start to break :p.

Found a mini-connector reference (as a future enhancement planned for 2008, "to enable DisplayPort use on ultramobile Pcs") in this DisplayPort CES 2008 press release

www.displayport.org/news-presentations/press-releases/DP_CES_1.8.08.pdf

Once it's put together, complete with the hype of the event and any associated video and text feeds, you'll want one. Trust me. :D

HA! i'm not doubting that at all.I just logged on to expect like "macbooks may have multi touch trackpad" NOT like "HERE ARE FULL BLOWN PICS OF THE NEW MB & MBPs!!!! NO ARGUING ITS THE REAL DEAL!

and yes i've been eating chocolate out of my advent calendar counting down the days to oct 14. ...my wallet is armed and dangerous

I'm a little upset that there is not more difference b/w the mb and mbp. maybe the lid will differentiate them. Either way I can't wait for October 14.....

Looks great! Very thin. Glad they did away with the latch. ENOUGH LEAKS though I want a nice surprise on Tuesday...Let's Rock was very predictable and I hope this event doesn't turn out the same way. Apple needs to do a better job keeping everything secured. Back in the day we had no idea when and what would be announced and now it's just gotten ridiculous.

Too funny! If you don't want spoilers, don't visit MR until late Tuesday afternoon!

Finally...

I bought my first mac a year ago, Black Macbook. No problems.

Now I have been waiting for this for along time so I can buy a Macbook Pro just to play my game. One year without playing a single game. I did a pretty good job.

I am going to buy Macbook Pro to play America's Army I miss this game so much. This is the only game I play. I hope the coming Macbook Pro will do a good job to let me to play AAO. That's the only thing I care about.

The sticker just covers some sort of rfid for tracking where the case is. Nothing nefarious about it.

That's like asking if you'd rather be without an arm or a leg. Audio users need both. FW for interfaces obviously. But to use Logic Pro's distributed processing you need gigabit ethernet. That's not going to work with a dongle.

Yeah, I realise that. Apple doesn't. By having many people choose FireWire, and nearly as many choosing Ethernet, the poll proves your point, really.

Here's the link again: Ethernet or FireWire poll. Remember: We all know, we need both. But FireWire is what's being stolen from us.

Just got a $500 rebate check from school. I'm saving it to buy a new macbook only if they are $800 or less. I can't wait 'till tuesday!
