Yeah I was just looking at this on 9to5 (I think). It's exciting to see the rumors start to meld together. Looks like a fine update to the phone itself. :)

As far as the screen goes, it looks like 3.7".

Edit: Yeah it was 9to5. Link.

Ummm...Weren't you just saying..(and I quote)..

"They're releasing a marginal update. If you take the more solid rumors to heart, you'll see that there is little chance of a "Shock and Awe" product coming to us. That's not their style. They release maginal updates that excite us just enough to upgrade"

You are saying in this post that "it's exciting to see the rumors start to meld together" suggesting that we are getting something new and exciting. BUT in your other post you are saying that the "rumors" suggest that we aren't getting anything new or exciting..Which is it?

Huh? I'm saying exactly what I said. It's your opinion that what the rumors amount to is new and exciting. It was my opinion that this new and exciting phone is not going to shock or awe anyone.

I think bumping up the screen size a bit is new and exciting, and just enough to get people to buy it, but not shocking or awe inducing. See how opinion works? Now let's giggle together.

No way can a 3.7" screen be on that, I mean a 3.7" would fit nicely on an iPhone 4 so why make it so much bigger?

Yes there were some pictures of other cases with the buttons and switch on the right side of the phone.

I think it would make sense, apple likes to keep nice and clean looks. Moving the buttons to the right side would make it a much more smoother design if someone is looking at you while your on a call.(who cares about that though?)

If Apple moves the volume button to the right, and the caller has the phone to his left ear during a call, wont the person looking at him see the buttons then? ;p

obviously, considering most people hold them in there right hand it still makes sense

Is it just me or do these cases look like they could be for the next generation iPod touch? One the of the comparison photos shows the touch inside the case and the thickness is a perfict fit up top then it tapers down with the teardrop shape. Another clue is that the volume buttons are perfectly aligned and the same size and shape.... These cases to me are for the iPod touch 5 not the iPhone 5... Anyone else agree?

I do not see the iPod Touch having a larger screen, they will keep it subservient as always to the iPhone.

They put the retina display in the iPod touch 4? The iPod touch 4 was basicly a striped down iPhone 4 in terms of specs. Same a4 chip, same ram, same storage, and same display.

You are right...opinions are exactly that.."opinions". But if that case is indeed for the iPhone 5, and you don't think thats shocking or awe inducing, what the heck would it take? This is no where near a "marginal" update. This is a full redesign from the ground up. In fact, it would be the BIGGEST update ever for iPhone.

I for one would be OVERJOYED if this case turns out to be correct. And I would also be both SHOCKED and AWE'D! Lol

Really hope that case turns out to be accurate. At this point, I wouldn't be shocked to see a 4" screen, I pretty much expect it. I'd be shocked if it wasn't.. :D

This case leak corresponds with the other cases we've been seeing. These cases were posted a while ago on 9to5Mac:

Since these Chinese manufacturers are so confident that this is the iPhone 5, then we may be onto something. Because it was due to the leaked iPad 2 cases that we were able to correctly predict what the iPad 2 would be.

I really think this is Apple's top secret iPhone 5.

If this was a touch case I would still be pumped because they would never make a touch bigger and better then the iPhone. They may make it on par with the iphone (aesthetically speaking), but never nicer. So no matter what the case is for, it still means iPhone 5 will be one mean SOB!

I agree on this also, also way back when when the Ipad 2 was released there were many rumors from "sources" that stated the iphone 5 would be the same form factor as the ipad 2 was.

Its all coming together now

Lol I agree with you on that part. If the iPod gets a bigger screen the iPhone gets a bigger screen... To me though these cases just look to close to an iPod touch design. I personally would like the iPhone 5 to have the design similar to the first gen iPad with black aluminum!!!

I don't think so. Since when does an iPod Touch have it's headphone jack on the top?

It's definitely a rumored iPhone 5, i hope it is legit though.

They put the retina display in the iPod touch 4? The iPod touch 4 was basicly a striped down iPhone 4 in terms of specs. Same a4 chip, same ram, same storage, and same display.

The fourth generation iPod touch does not have the same display as an iPhone 4. It's the same resolution but nowhere near the high quality of the iPhone. Go take an iPhone 4 & iPod Touch (4th gen) and place them side by side. The viewing angle on the touch is awful, along with the less potent colors/vibrancy.

Really? I don't own an iPod touch 4 so I can only go by the specs.... My point was if the iPhone gets a bigger screen wouldn't the iPod touch follow in size?

with sales of the ipod declining in general i dont think apple is going to be doing over the top designs anymore on the ipod line.

If this is the iPhone 5, I can see why Apple is suing Samsung and trying to ban the sales of the galaxy s line.
If it's 4.3" then I'll be the exact dimensions of the SGSII.
If you notice the AT&T SGSII doesn't have a home button like the european versions.
So if this is the iPhone 5 with 4-4.3" screen then it'll look like the european SGSII.

If real, the thing also seems amazingly slim. That makes the 4 look thick!

I agree...and it seems IMPOSSIBLY thin IMO. It's like half the thickness of the 4, don't see how that would work out.
