Why not just call it the iPhone 6. Why does it need to have a size description in the name?
I doubt the existence of the 5.5" iPhone. All the parts shown so far have been elaborate hoaxes made by Samsung so their competitors don't know exactly what to expect. When the 4.7" phone is the only one released, only Sammy will know the truth and will be waiting with the perfect counter release product.

I want to see a larger battery, screen, or chassis before I really believe there is going to be a 5.5" iPhone 6 but the fact that there are apparently multiple new parts instead of one is encouraging.

I just want the 5.5" to come out with the 4.7". I hate the idea of waiting longer.
If they do a split release I think you would only have to wait a week. One friday would be the 4.7" the next friday would be the 5.5". If they decide to do two phones.
I'm with those who think that a new post for each part leak is overkill and uninteresting to the majority of the people here. How many people really care what their sensor flex cable looks like?
I understand the desire to publish every possible story imaginable, but they really should just combine all these part leaks (aside from the most major ones) into one post and just update it. Have it just be part of the round up or something. I don't know.

Dude, get real. Apple barely sold that many iPad Mini lately. It'd be stupid to release a midget iPad which is DOA.

I think 5.5 iPhone 6 has to happen and Sapphire or not, the cost should still be at $200 with a contract.
I think they should call the 4.7-in the iPhone 6 and the 5.5-in the iPhone 6s.
Then not do a major update in 2015, but wait until 2016 to release a new iPhone 7.

Same reason auto manufacturers have their name, the name of their car, and even the trim level all spelled out (usually on the back of the vehicle).
How easy would it be to go to, Ford, for example and tell them what you want if they called all of their products "car"?

Other than all the mockups that people had been creating, these are the same parts that over and over again keep getting "leaked". We get it already.
It's August now, show me a complete iPhone 6 blurry pic, leaked from Foxconn's manufacturing lines. It should be developed and way into production by this point. Where are all of those pics??

Apple could do a deal with Michael Jordan and feature him in "iPhone Air" TV ads.
He could slam dunk the 5.5" 2014 iPhone through basketball hoops.
Just to show how tough that synthetic sapphire screen really is.

I'd say there's a 5% chance that the 5.5" device is the new iPod touch, and not any kind of iPhone, and that the 4.7" device will be the only bigger-screened iPhone this year. Just a tiny chance.
