Went back today, Geniuses were really nice, but since I wasn't prepared for a replacement, I didn't get one. I don't know if I am even going to bother now, all of them at the Apple Store did it

Perfect feel of home button on my white 4S. It's firm but not by too much and makes small clicking noise. Just perfect.

Hope that doesn't go the iPhone 4 way and stops responding after a year.

BTW I replaced the home button and it's flex assembly on my original iPhone 4 and even that phone is as good as new. Just not on the same level as my 4S.

The home button is seriously the most archaic part of iPhone hardware that is screaming for an elegant replacement that can handle the rigor of multitasking taps and Siri "hold down's." Not to mention, it is also the most annoying and most problematic piece of iPhone hardware.

I really hope they replace it soon with a gesture based home button. I liked the iPhone 5 concepts that popped up here on MR.

Count me into the people that have a really solid home button...actually a lot better than my previous 4. Now I'm just concerned that the white plastic will discolor over time.

Mine is still loose, I still don't know If I want to replace for it. Has anyone gotten a completely perfect one? Or anyone else have the loose button

Some of these issues don't sound like their stemming from the phone. I understand that in exchange for our money, we should get a quality product. However, going in three or four times for a replacement phone because of a 'mushy button,' a 'clicky button,' and a 'quivering vibrate,' seems a bit much.

Just my opinion. I'm sure others will have differing viewpoints.

Well, if you paid $500 for a phone, you would want it to be perfect, right, thats the way I am looking at it, when you pay $500 for a phone, you want it to be perfect, right?

Went back, didn't replace though, keeping my iPhone because I have a uniform screen and no vibrate buzz, don't like i have to settle for the "lesser" evil though
