Isn't that the point?
I'm really enjoying this new season of Homeland. I cannot remember a show that kept me guessing, and shocked, as much as this one has this season.
I think the writers and producers have done a great job. Cape Town, South Africa does a surprisingly good job standing in for Islamabad. The casting, for parts big and small, has been outstanding. And two episodes from the end of Season 4 - I have literally no idea how its going to work out. The story arc has proceeded nothing like you might have thought two months ago. The characters have all remained believable human beings (for good or evil) and actions really seem to have consequences in this (fictional) universe. Everything that was rotten and stupid about this show in Seasons 2-3 has been forgotten.
Last note: How come the only person in the Embassy panic-room showing some real balls was Ambassador Boyd? Here's hoping the story finds some way of keeping her character in the mix.
