Yup, I'm having another whinge.

It's early december right, not even the start of summer (summer solstice = start of summer) and we're cracking 40˚C in parts of Sydney (that's 104˚F for you weird types) and some towns out west are popping up over 45˚C (113˚F). Brewarrina - a town out west - broke through 45˚ for it's hottest day since 1977. And it's only December!! I'm dreading January and February, our family get together is always on the hottest day of the year and normally at the only member of the family who doesn't have air conditioning's house. Oh god kill me now, I hate summer sooooo much!!!

Well, I've headed south for the summer (Adelaide) to escape some of said heat. I'll get back to Sydney full time in March or so, when things cool off. Or maybe I'll try Perth...

Hide away inside as much as possible. Arizona summers aren't much better; my next move is northeast where it's cold and rains all the time. :D

Quiet you! Wish it was hot here... can't stand the cold...

Will be in Moorea and NewZealand for the holidays, so can't complain too much... :D

Yeah, lived in AZ for three years as a kid, hit 54˚ C while we were there. Not as hot here on the coast but 40˚ is damned hot for anywhere on the coast.

Inland in the desert it's not uncommon to see temps above 60˚C (140˚F) in the summer, it's just that our inland is so empty and barren that very few people are affected.

I hate wearing shorts, I hate being hot, I hate it when it's 30˚C (86˚F) at midnight and I can't sleep.

Stupid summer, bugger off!!

I think that's the first time I've ever heard "Adelaide," "Perth" and "escape the heat" in the same sentence.

Pictures, pretty please. :D

No, you really don't want pics of me in shorts. A lack of summer for a few years means they are almost transparent, it's not a pleasent sight combined with being "big-of-thigh" from rehab and bumpy shinned from lots of tree-climbing accidents as a child.

It was -5 (C) overnight here. Quitcherbitchin'

I'd rather have -5C, a jumper on and still be able to get around than 42˚C, very little on and still not able to move.

Current Temp in °F and °C

Don't you love living in Indiana? Sunny, no clouds in the sky, and 2 degrees F... My morning walk to work was definitely painful!

Yep, -11ºC here, overnight was even worse! You may say that now, but try waking up when your house is bitter cold, then when you go to start your car it's all cold and stuff....gross :(

That's Denton, TX just north of Dallas, of all places...
