Do you buy this rhetoric? You could also say that the US is 5x more dependent on China because it needs those things it imports.
We have to realise that with the system China has, it can plan a lot longer than democracies with 4 year terms.
Yeah most of the stuff we buy from China we don't need. Go look through your house. Same thing.

LOL... if you are buying stuff you don't need, that is YOUR problem and not the fault of those selling it. Now, if there is something you need but can't afford unless it comes from China, that is another issue. But reshoring the manufacture of that stuff will certainly not make it more affordable and not solve that problem. Which begs the question: what problem are you really trying to solve?? If you start making stuff here that people can't afford, what is the point? And that really is a moot question because no competent business will make stuff that they know will have to be priced too high to sell.

We all deserve respect for our opinions. We also should all be held accountable for them. Because of one individual and his radical motives I have lost a considerable amount of my retirement account. Others have been wrongly deported. Other countries have lost respect for our leadership and the world economy is in disarray. All because of one individual. One sad, uncaring, egocentric individual. The world must come together to defeat him.
You’re not the only one who has seen their retirement savings take a hit. The fact that some got wrongly deported is unfortunate but when one looks at the broader picture, such as the violent crimes in Times Square by gangs, it was clear something had to be done. The US has survived since July 4, 1776 and will continue to survive through all manner of bad leadership, corrupt individuals, politicians who selfishly put their own self interests before the country’s , etc

There you go, look the other way. Don’t stand for better. Make excuses for the present dictatorship. The U.S. has survived through hate, segregation, racism so it must be fine, right? Unbelievable.

Seems like you are looking the other way as well. Because you just want the president to seemingly go down the path of the outgoing administration. One can choose to be a social justice warrior or not, but ignoring the problems is looking the other way.

The country had a choice of who to elect. As a generalization I see more people who are in the dems camp agitated then those who voted for Trump.

Unfortunately the collective power of the world doesn’t seem to be strong enough, and no one wants to get close to China unless they absolutely have to.
Nevertheless, the fight must go on, both inside and outside of US, until Trumpism has been thoroughly and completely ruled out.

as we've been taken advantage of for decades and it's time to have that come to a halt.
U go ahead and believe that story.

We buy more from China than products sold to them is simply because China can manufacture cheaper. Trump is lying when he promises to bring manufacturing back to home, it simply doesn't work, what is the cost of living in the U.S. compared to China? A U.S. worker has to make certain wage in order to live in the U.S. We already knew this in the 90's, and the powers to be told us to rid of lost-cost manufacturing and move up the value chain for U.S. workers which never materialized. The U.S. industrialists, in pursuit of short-term gain, passed to China our know-how and would copy-cat China take advantage of that? you betcha, and our government, both Republican and Democrat didn't do didly about it. That's the real story.

I think it is, if countries are prepared to work more as a collective. There lies the problem……for the moment that is.

How is anyone defending Trump not immediately returning the wrongly deported person?

This is a FIVE alarm fire 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 if one cares at all about rule of law.
Don't ever think an administration behaving like this won't one day "come for you too".

My lord -- even Fox News was covering this yesterday.

Usually when it's an angle they don't like they talk about "the War on Christmas" or something, as a distraction, but even they were covering this along with all the other major outlets yesterday.

He's paying El Salvador to run a gulag for him ... why would anyone think Trump couldn't have the person returned within hours of demanding it?

Trump doesn’t care about any laws. He attacks or ignores anyone and anything who/ that doesn’t do what he wants, or doesn’t agree with him. Including lawyers, judges, congress, institutions, universities, museums, etc. etc. Well, just about everyone except yes-men and everyone that is prepared to kiss his feet.
He challenges and spits on the rule of law, and thereby democracy.
The question is…who stops him from doing so? Does the majority not see this? Not care? Wish for a fascist leader anyway?

Ofcourse he could have done that…within an hour. He also should have done that ofcourse, but his fans probably don’t care. Not even when it’s unlawful.

One country should not completely control the rest of the world.
If you depend on the one country then they control your country.
Apple is re-thinking its world stance on money $$$.
If all countries made the same wages the issues about money would not be so hard to figure out.
Hard to compete with China wages and there is the issue.

We Eat,Sleep,Hope to have Shelter how are we doing any better all these years as human species>?
Medicine keeps us living longer thats it.
What if one country controls all that and on it goes as one country controls it all!

We dont like millionaires and complain but some believe its ok for one country to control the rest of the world with cheap stuff and are the only one to produce cheap stuff.

If you (work) and make more than a million dollars a year you have screwed somebody out their fair wages!
Making wall street money is another game.

Think about it ,our millionaires of the world because cheap labor.

Cant have it both ways, cheap labor and no millionaires/billionaires.

Keep the jobs and rich people in your countries. Have Both!

Haier ,G.E.A. now owned by china so thanks for the remotes into your household appliances.
Eat sleep and be seen and heard all by one country. No thanks.
Road and Belt china initiative not a good thing.

For those that think that China needs the US, do a quick Google search on BRICS.

As well as how much money the US has borrowed from China to date.

The alternate-reality delusion that MAGAmerica has been living under is going to slam around their ears REAL soon. Trump and his SS is making SURE of it.

I for one will enjoy the show, even if I'm also on the Titanic.

It's for real the end of the world as we know it, and I feel FINE.

Sorry Xi the Pooh but the days of your currency manipulation, ip theft from American companies, slave labor and treating the US as your doormat are numbered. This isn't Biden you're dealing with.

Trump isn't ****ing around with you jokers.
"China doesn’t care if China loses US market and China “ we have been here for 5000 years and most of the time without the united states and we survive, and if the united states bullies China, we will deal with the situation without the United States, and we expect to survive for another 5000 years".
That's a heck of a statment isn't it. But as trump often says, We'll see what happens.

Trump is a bumbling buffoon stomping around and mouthing off about things he doesn’t understand and thinks he looks tough doing it. Yet anyone with eyes has zero respect for this doofus criminal and his cabinet of fanatic clowns and sycophants. You listen to them speak and it’s like watching a badly written b-grade film.

To those who can see it’s mind boggling how so many are taken in by his amateur performance. Of course, there are also those who know he’s a clown and con artist yet they defer to him because he’s useful to get something they want. You think Putin respects Trump? Not a chance. For Putin Trump is nothing but a crude tool to distract attention away from his own actions and to facilitate taking the U.S. out of the game. Xi certainly doesn’t respect or fear Trump.
