'It won’t be pretty' says it all. Trump's new America.People with a clear mind see what the Trump regime is doing. For those who can’t or refuse to see realization will dawn eventually when they can no longer handwave or explain it away. It won’t be pretty.
BSing doesn’t help the cause. It’s all about ratings with Trump except he doesn’t know or care if he’s the guy you tune into see win or lose. If only his voters understood that he cares more about his ratings than the U.S.
He’s lining his pockets and the pockets of his billionaire buddies. It’s not hard to see the grift.People with a clear mind see what the Trump regime is doing. For those who can’t or refuse to see realization will dawn eventually when they can no longer handwave or explain it away. It won’t be pretty.
Well as an Australian looking in, I can say he needs people like you to keep thinking nonsense like this. Its also a great argument for a better education system that teaches economics.China will be the toughest to bring to the table but it will happen. They need us more than we need them as they export 5 times more to us. In the end, this was the right move for the U.S. as we've been taken advantage of for decades and it's time to have that come to a halt.
Well yeah, I don't think that simple fact has ever been in dispute. He sucked up to Trump and flattered him. It’s that simple.
The world is not siding with China. Eventually they will cave. The CCP can present their own narrative however they want. They don’t even need to put much effort into undermining Trumps character, except for translating him word for word.
For China, Trump is the boo man.
Also, China will be more than willing to flood developing countries with their goods, maybe even in combination with a little naval action in Asian waters…
How so?But, Trump is ****ing around with Americans and the US Constitution.
I don't know if they are 'siding' with China, but very recently China has been very busy making a variety of deals with various Indo-Pacific countries. Taking advantage of the vacuum left by the US alienating those countries. The word 'siding' has some very black and white, us vs them connotations and the world isn't that simple. The world is not siding with China. Eventually they will cave.
Whatever gets the job done. Apple does not exist to fight anyone's political battles for them. Tim Cook is there to make sure Apple rides out the next 4 years of a Trump presidency with minimal impact on Apple and...so far so good?He sucked up to Trump and flattered him. It’s that simple.
Sadly true. I'd like him to stand up to Trump more but he has obligations to his share holders.Whatever gets the job done. Apple does not exist to fight anyone's political battles for them. it is not just Apple who is exempt. it is the class of products they make. the amendment to the executive order lists classes of products. it covered most electronics including TV’s, but not game consoles so the Nintendo Switch 2 is currently slated to get big tariffs if manufactured in China.I disagree with Apple being exempt but not others.
Does go to show how wishy-washy the president is.
Changes his mind more than I change my britches.
Well, yeah! That he was doing that for shareholders was never in dispute. He's obligated by law to work to the benefit of the shareholders as part of being a publicly traded company. That doesn't mean he doesn't care about customers, but clearly this move was for the shareholdersTim Cook isn't negotiating with Trump out any care for customers. Cook doesn't care about customers, so his reason for negotiating is because he cares about shareholders.

yep, sometimes (often) one move benefits both.More like Apple customers who don't want a huge tariff added to the cost of an iPhone or Mac.
Happy customers who continue and love to purchase Apple products ---> happy shareholders.
This is all not okay. We are living in a literal banana republic. The dumbest timeline ever.
