The "I Don't Like This Suggestion" option doesn't show up for me at all on my iPad nor on my iPhone. I wish it would. There's a bunch of crap in my "For You" that I don't even want to look at.

Press and hold on the suggested playlist or album on For You tab and the context menu containing this option will show up. I know, very intuitive. :)

Why couldn't Apple have explain this, like this?
Did you see the WWDC keynote? It was quite packed full of Apple product demos. Not enough time to go over everything verbatim. And before you or someone else says they wasted too much time on the other stuff. Not everybody cares one iota about Music and prefer Apple to focus on Macs, iOS and OS X.

None of this seems to be working for me. I have a smart playlist which is meant to show tracks I've loved.

However, no matter what I do I select the Love symbol (Heart) on tracks and they never appear in the smart playlist.

Am I the only one with this issue ? Gotta Say - this whole software experience is terrible.
Did you also add that track to My Music? I believe Smart Playlists only act on music in your library. Loving the track does not put it to My Music. I wish it did.

Apple needs better "experts" I've never skipped so many songs on any other music service. Both the UI and song selection is frustrating. Eventually I just gave up and went back to Pandora.

I have really appreciated the For You section was has continued to grow as I used the app. However it was always evident to me that listening to songs, adding them to my library and hearting songs would contribute to them knowing about what I like.

I never assumed them to be mind readers. It has been interesting to see the For You section ebb and flow as I personally jump into specific genres for a bit and then move into something completely different. My overall musically tastes cover an enormous range and so have the For You suggestions.

I did not know about disliking a suggestion in For You but that is great news to provide even better feedback to influence the suggestions.

I assumed that this had something to do with 'Connect' so I had avoided touching it. Someone at Apple needs to go read a few books on UX, the fact that someone had to talk to Apple to fully understand this function...says enough.

Yes this is the first time anyone combined clicking on s heart next to an item to indicate one liking it.

This obviously was a very challenging up implementation. A gun might have made more sense for the way people are acting.

Before apple music I never saw a heart symbol or other positively viewed symbol used as a way to mark something one liked. Apple clearly invented this with Apple music.

Wow, people are impatient. UI is not perfect, but I would not call the initial setup "tedious". Plus you do this once. It just can't read your mind, so give it some info so it has a chance to suggest relevant music to you.
And give it some time to learn about your music tastes - I'm pretty sure you will see better "For You" content. After 2 days I already like mine a lot - found quite a few new songs and artists that I like!

It is pretty clear several people think apple should indeed to read their minds.

Apple Music seems really unintuitive, I don't even understand if it's possible to make playlists like I can do in Spotify, the playback starts slower than Spotify and I don't understand why I have to go in "For You" or "New" to listen to music it makes no sense and it looks like a jungle.

Back to Spotify for me.

What do you mean skipped songs on Apple music. My first thought is you are doing something horribly wrong or are not using Apple music.

Are you talking about iTunes Radio?

So far, the entire "For You" is a classic case of everyone who worked on it loves it and if you like Taylor Swift & Niki Manaj, then it works great!

If, however, you have never liked, loved, or purchased TS or NM, then how in the world do they keep showing up on my Apple music? I also deleted every "Hits" and "Pop" bubble during set up!

Furthermore, the "I don't like or please make it go away" also does not work...I have tried it on 6 different Niki Manaj suggestions and it keeps coming back.

None of them show up in my for you, you must like some weird stuff

Not sure what they were thinking when they designed this. I click on one of the lists in For You and want to know more about one of the artists or an album, but the artist is not clickable and even if it was the font is just tiny. Instead I have to push the dot button on the lower left and THEN click the album icon at the top of the screen that slides in from below, which sometimes seems to work but more often then not just says resource unknown...kind of defeats the whole purpose of having the For You section which supposedly should make it easy to discover new artists/albums.
THIS!

I logged in just to upvote this. I have a few peeves with Apple Music mostly how there's so many different options and it can be confusing. But I can learn and adapt, this though, there's nothing you can do.

If I'm looking at a playlist or a song, I need the ability to quickly visit an artist's page from a song. Please join me in filing Radars for this.

Back to Spotify for me.

Those last two things aren't even a little bit true and if you could not figure out how to make a playlist you could not have spent more than three active minutes with the app. There are only five main categories, two of which you mentioned, so one of the other three actually has playlists as one of the main options.

It's getting tiresome to wade through this is not just like Spotify so I won't spend thirty seconds on it crowd.

Apple Music - "Do you like Biffy Clyro, Katherine Jenkins and Whitney Houston?"

Me - "No thank you Apple" delete, delete, delete.

Apple Music - "Do you like Biffy Clyro, Katherine Jenkins and Whitney Houston?"

Me - "Must have done something wrong, could have sworn I clicked no" DELETE DELETE DELETE

Apple Music - "Do you like Biffy Clyro, Katherine Jenkins and Whitney Houston?"

Me - "ARGHHH!" DELETE DELETE DELETE

Me - *sounds of smashing iPhone*

It looks like "For You" and "Like" might just be Apple marketing tactics in disguise, pushing certain sponsored "star" artists down our throats. Remember U2?

So, I just added about 20 songs from the artist Yo La Tengo to my library and synced them with Apple Music. Now I get a playlist in my "For You" section called "Introduction to Yo La Tengo.

Um, why do I need an introduction? Clearly I know who they are, I just added a bunch of their music to "My Music."

No chance they could ever offer suggestions you missed eh? The introduction lists are hand curated lists by real people. Would you tell your friend that you just added Yo La Tenga to shut up if he said he might have some suggestions for you?

I just wish they didn't bundle their apps in updates. I have no intention of trying out beats/Apple music. I am completely satisfied with Spotify. In fact I wouldn't even try it *if* it was cheaper. Another stupid Apple app to put in my junk folder

I'm sure Apple is not the first. Don't take this the wrong way but a Heart symbol is common sense in terms of liking songs.

Yeah, we're definitely getting a few of those. When I see posts that are little on the ridiculous side I simply click on their username and check how many posts they have. He just signed up a whole new account just to post that. I wouldn't give that post one bit of credibility.
