I've been poking around with lastpass recently and I'm kinda thinking of just sticking with Apple's keychain solution for storing and generation of passwords just because it seems so much more simple.
Simple? My dog can use LastPass it's so simple plus it's very user friendly. It's not the worlds most popular password manager for nothing.

So no answer to whether MR is an affiliate partner of 1P?

Sorry, I didn't see this. This post was not sponsored in any way and contains no affiliate links. We receive no money if you sign up for 1Password. I used 1Password for this post because AgileBits was the first to implement the Password AutoFill feature, which is a super convenient change for iOS users who have password management apps. I think it's a great API, and I wish Apple had implemented it years ago. I am also a longtime user of 1Password, which I pay for myself.

I do have access to the beta version of the iOS app, which I asked AgileBits for yesterday for the purpose of testing Password AutoFill.

Thank you, Juli.

It's just an extra app/layer/extension/whatever I don't need to deal with when I can let Keychain do everything automatically for me.

CS on here doing nothing to dispel my view that I’ve never seen a company go from gold star trust to zero trust as quickly as Agile Bits, and with the same leadership. It’s normally a change at the helm that changes a company’s culture. Not here. Arrogance and condescension drips off of every customer interaction I witness these days.

Very, very sad. I used to be a 1P evangelist and probably converted hundreds of people into 1P users. Not anymore.

Awaits the inevitable denial of the charge, but you won’t be changing my mind any time soon.

Well, lucky, it appears absolutely no one cares what you think, and not one person took your bait so you can put your preplanned lamentation of all that is wrong in the world safely back in your drafts folder.

I'm actually legitimately rather curious what your problem with them is? I haven't had any issues personally, and the only major complaint I seem to be seeing is moving to a subscription model, for which there *is* still an alternative (albeit annoying to find) for people who don't like it

Just updated LastPass for iOS 12. Integration looks good. I do have one issue that is causing me to deactivate LastPass from AutoFill. The issue is that AutoFill is not allowing me to select priority between LastPass and keychain. I prefer keychain because it is very quick. LastPass has to start the app, verify touchid or faceid then AutoFill password. The delay is probably just a second or 2 but I find it annoying. Wish apple would allow me to select keychain for all passwords and if it couldn’t find it, automatically go to my second option which is LastPass.

Another feature that would be incredibly helpful is when you create a new account and password, offering to store login and password in both keychain and LastPass. Only offers to save in keychain currently and I would have to manually add to LastPass.

I just wanted to turn on this feature but it looks like 1password hasn’t been updated yet. I hope the update which makes it available will come soon!

I too am not able to see the 1Password option under the Autofill Passwords section. One other bug I've noticed is that the Touch ID option doesn't always show, at times I have to enter the password.

1Password has not (as of this morning), released an update to support Autofill. Since we are starting to see iOS 12 compatible Apps (and iOS 12 drops today), I would hope that it will be released very soon. Especially considering that 1password was featured at WWDC and they have already tweeted a photo of a working beta. Also, LastPass has already been updated.

If the update requires iOS 12, Apple will not allow it to be released until iOS 12 is actually released.

Correct, this update requires iOS 12, it'll be released alongside the iOS 12 update. We anticipate that being fairly soon if past releases are any indication of how this one will go.

According to the 1Password support forum, AgileBits has released it to Apple. Just waiting on Apple now.

FYI - 7.2 with Autofill support is out now. (Now come on Google Maps!)
Great! Just updated and now I can see it in the autofill. They've also got a new auto-copy two factor authentication password that gets sent over texts.

I'm happy that Apple decided to introduce the autofill for the two factor authentication that is required by most payment apps here in India. When I used android for a while, it was one feature that saved time and made it a lot easier to login.
