I'm not as happy as I thought I would be.

I've been on Sprint for a few years now, and I have run into the limitations of their data network. For the most part, I was ok with them. The devices I was using for data usually weren't optimized well for what I wanted to do with them, or did the job enough of the time for me not to complain. Basically, I was willing to settle for less since I had already settled for less.

But now? The iPhone is a beautiful piece of technology. It needs a network that handles data as seamlessly as the device itself does. I should not have to hope to run into a more powerful wi-fi network when I'm walking around downtown Philadelphia and want to download an app. Youtube videos should not stutter to a stop every 2 seconds. And I shouldn't have to think about how many calls I've missed that have magically turned into voicemails because my phone did not ring. Sprint's data service is not good enough and the voice isn't either. I'm seriously considering trying another network.

I've rooted for Sprint. It's time to do better.

I'm from Philly and AT&T works good.

Switched from AT&T to Sprint. AT&T data was a bit faster but was dropping calls often. While Sprint's data isn't as fast it still does the job. I stream radio pretty much all day with no issues. Voice calls have been great as well. South Florida, Fort Lauderdale area.

Interesting. I haven't had many (if any) issues with AT&T near Coral Springs. Glad to see Sprint is working good for you (was curious to know how it was near Coral Springs/ South Florida in general).

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

I'm in coral springs actually. I'm on the road a lot for work (mostly broward county) and would drop calls a lot around Atlantic/mcnabb. AT&T data was faster but Sprint is doing well so far (2weeks)

Data is a little slower than Verizon, but not too much.

But I'm saving almost $85 a month on Sprint. I can live with it. I also use my ipad2 at home (right now) with wifi, so it's not as important to me. I get good reception, no dropped calls. I don't use the data on the phone as much.mi can add apps at home, and use them without wifi when not home.

I finally received my Black 4S 32GB from Sprint this past Friday 11/11/11. Anyway, so far I'm content with them, but I haven't really done much with the 4S. I've made a few calls. I'm in OC, California and there have been no drop calls. Getting about 3 Bars with an Otter Case on it at home. I've downloaded about 5 free apps, and the speeds on Home WiFi have been somewhat slow. The iOS update, the first update installed took a few minutes (approx. 3 mins.) via home WiFi.

Siri worked a couple times, then had issues connecting to network.

I really should report back once I've actually played with the phone. Just hadn't had time.

loving mine, came from EVO, EVO 3D

miss the 4g wimax speeds, but love the stability and everything else

Hate it. This is average speed for me. In about 30 speed tests, I clocked 0.50+ maybe 2-3 times but usually I get 0.20-0.30.

Haven't had any dropped calls though.

Absolutely hated Sprint and had the worst customer service experience with them that I've ever had from any company in my entire life. STILL working on terminating my contract. I've switched to Verizon and absolutely love it, it's amazing. I'm in downtown LA, and I never got higher that .03 MB/s down and .01 MB/s down, which is absolutely horrid. With Verizon I get about 3 MB/s up and 1.5 MB/s down, which is plenty for what I need.

I stream Spotify all the time and with Sprint is was simply unusable, didn't work at all anywhere in the LA area (I use it all the time while driving around the city and most parts of LA don't even have a data connection with Sprint, it's horrible). With Verizon, it's been flawless.

Sprint is the worst company I've ever dealt with period. I'm sure there are some out there who are happy with it...but my experience has been the worst it could possibly be. But I'm DOOOONE! Haha...feels great.

I love it, my 4s on Sprint is always faster than my fiancé with her Verizon 4. Not as fast as AT&T but for the money it does well, I also tether my ps3 and play MW3 with no problems or lagg. I'm very happy.

Hated it

I had a Sprint 4S on launch day.

The data was abysmally slow (.05Mb/s-.12Mb/s). I didn't get coverage in the 6 or 7 places I went over the weekend.

I went to a Verizon store and sat the Sprint 4S next to a Verizon 4S. The data rate was 8 times faster on Verizon (.1Mb/s vs .8Mb/s)

I went to best buy and switched to Verizon. I have been happy since. No dead spots. Faster data.

Verizon is $30 a month for an identical 2 person plan. I cut out text messaging to be 250 per phone, and the bill is $10 more than Sprint for significantly better/faster coverage.

AT&T was much faster with a lot of dead spots, but Verizon's coverage is better.

Omaha, Nebraska.

As an interesting addendum, the drone working at the Sprint store insisted that it was an iPhone problem on all networks, and that there is no data problem with Sprint in the area. Also, he insisted that Sprint and Verizon use the exact same networks, which he knows since he used to work for Verizon.

I also got a bill from Sprint yesterday charging me for the month of service.

When I contacted customer service, they told me it will take a few billing cycles before I stop getting bills.

Cute.
