The other day, a co-worker showed me a picture thousands of vinyl and CD's he had collected over several decades (along with some nice equipment). I then told him I have the same amount of music, on a 3.5" hard drive whereas his took up an entire room.

Well, what's your count folks?

60-70GB of music
100+ Movies in digital form

I could play music for over 40 days straight and never hit the same song twice. I could never listen to all of it, but nice to have around :)

There is this thread from last year.

I've got about 100 more LPs and maybe 150 more cds from the photos in that thread.

I love looking at toothpaste's photos.

My iTunes library stands , currently, at 11,735 tracks. I add about 150 a month to it.

21 GB and still growing/adding from CDs. I want to get one of those things so that i can burn vinyls to the computer.

I still buy all my music on CD and rip it before putting it in a MASSIVE box. I've got hundreds....

wow. i feel like such a beginner. lol.
i have 260 songs [1.5GB], with a couple CDs I need to rip, and about 200 songs I need to get from a friend. Then you add in four movies, some music videos, two shorts and a ton of podcasts and that equals my library for now.

I plan on ripping my DVDs but waiting to get the Mac mini for the storage.

Perhaps... but his collection will always be more impressive and say a lot more about his commitment to music (and his opinion of its worth) than yours.

This is exactly why I am starting to build my physical collection up to the size it ought to be—which is to say, "massive." :)

I have over 3000 analog jazz and classical LPs and I wouldn't trade them for 10 times that amount of music on iTMS.

I only play these on a Linn Sondek LP12.
