How big is your music collection?

Music: 2726 items, 13.43 GB

Movies: 77 items (only 19 are actual feature-length movies), 29.89 GB

TV Shows: 70 items, 8.56 GB

Podcasts: 344 items, 17.63 GB

Total: 3217 items, 68.51 GB
 
My iTunes music library has 2001 items (which is 5.4 days or 11.60 GB worth). I keep all of this synchronized to my iPod classic 80 GB.
 
About 2000 songs in itunes on my computer.
About 350 cds on my shelf that I've never gotten around to ripping to mp3.

It's one of those projects that always gets pushed to the back burner.
 
17,000+ songs. I get about 150 new songs a week.
150+ movies
Lots of TV shows
I use about 260 GB, but have a 500GB hard drive
 
99,9% Ripped from CD's in Apple Lossless
(Including 1 day's worth of The Beatles)

not the largest collection im sure, but It's not bad. It will grow with time.

I just wish I didn't have to un-DRM-ify iTunes purchases, because if I attempt a library backup on Data CDs, those don't copy. (preventing me from pirating my own purchases, and moving them to safe storage place, such as DVD discs)


such a hassle.
 
just thought i'd mention that comparing size of music collections in GB isn't very comparable. i only rip my music in 128kbps to keep as much space on my ipod as possible, or else it wouldn't all fit! but some audiophiles will rip at much, much higher quality.

plus i think we should compare music we legally own. a couple of days ago me and a friend compared our music collections. his was alot bigger than mine, but not once i asked how much he had legally bought and owned. i personally deleted all the music i had obtained illegally but still have a fairly strong music collection. i can't quote the exact amount as i dont have my ipod on me, its about 4 thousand tho :)

29 items, 10.6 hours, 3.39 GB - TV Shows
13 items, 5.2 days, 3.47 GB - Audiobooks

2096 items, 11.9 days, 21.69 GB - Total

Most of it is ripped, except the TV shows. I'm pretty horrified at how much I paid iTunes for shows that I can only watch on my computer and iPod.

WOW :eek: I get about 25 new songs a year..... That's why I listen to the radio now.

1081 songs, (it was 1062 but my library got f'ed up) 3 days, 5.59 GB

Last time I checked I was around 89 days of music (it wont fit on my 80GB ipod), but I know there are a few duplicate tracks (where the same song is on 2+ albums) and some less-than-perfect tags in there. I've never used napster/p2p/sharing to acquire music, not even a single song. The RIAA should love me.
