The LG isn't the trigger for you to be frustrated with apple.
Look at the way the Palm Pre works. Look at how the HTC Magic runs. These are phones to frustrate you.
The UI sucks eggs and the thing looks like a huge stick of gum*
*Please do not eat LG phone.
I am not a fanboy
Take ownership of your OWN feelings and just say that YOU feel let down. If you feel that strongly, you should have no problem standing "alone" if you are indeed alone. If you're not alone, all the better for you. But you shouldn't need approval from anyone - let alone strangers - to justify your feelings
I still think that LG makes my iPhone look like something I found at a street-merchant in beijing
I don't understand when people say that they are surprised the iPhone didn't get an overhaul or don't know why it didn't. Here [see attached] is how I know that the iPhone will pretty much always look the same save for minor differences.
Apple gets their designs right the first time. If you don't like the way an Apple product looks to begin with you probably shouldn't get it, because the design isn't going to change that much.
Not to get into that discussion right now, but I think the picture shows just how much Apple innovates their design every single time. They keep the simple concept, and delivers with cutting edge design - defining style for its time.
(not the case with the 3Gs)
800 x 345 display? WTH? How much vertical scrolling are you gonna have to do with that?
The point is,... both the Pre and Magic are ugly as ****.
My main concern right now is that my iPhone integrates with everything I own from Apple... and mobile me is ... Godly.
Maybe I should just be happy LG is there to push apple a bit - and they wont pull the recycling of design again.

How can LG do that?
Because it is a hell of a lot easier to DESIGN a workable user interface for a CGI-only ad than it is to IMPLEMENT one for an actual working device.
So until you can show us the same video but with actual live hardware.....it is nothing but vapor.
You know the iPhone has 320p vertically in landscape, right?
Yeah, it would be foolish of me to be able to predict how this device is going to work in some ways due to a strange aspect ratio. You know - who really cares. The phone hasn't hit the market or been reviewed. It could very well be a GREAT phone. Again - who cares.
Who said anything about my iPhone? I was talking about the LG.If you're going to dismiss your iPhone before trying one out then how much do you really like your iPhone?
I do. But it's only 480 pixels wide. Which means extra horizontal scrolling as well when a webpage is shown at (near) native resolution. But the iPhone has ways to handle that. My concern with this LG is that the aspect ratio seems way off from what I would consider fairly normal usage. You know the iPhone has 320p vertically in landscape, right?
