You never have to take the battery out. If you need a bigger battery, get a mopier. Otherwise, it pretty much last the whole day with moderate usage.

I stream music all day so a replaceable battery is a must for me. I actually never plug in my actual phone anymore to charge.

I know. Thats why I use Android phones. I have had all those features for years :) I didn't even keep my 4s for a month before going back to Android. If Apple ever decides to step it up and make a real device with a real OS, I will get one.

Sure you had one for a month, but you made it out to be the best phone and bashed Android. You're doing the opposite now. Make up your mind.

You bashed the Iphone too when you had your galaxy S2. People change there minds..it happens.

Ok. I'm not denying anything. I admit to those posts but I found the iPhone worked better for me after using the competition. I didn't have a very long stint with Android then so I feel as though I didn't really use it that much.

Makes your posts now all the more relevant..you have used both and so you have a good perspective for works best for you.

Is the circus in town because these clowns keep popping up.

Way to over-exaggerate to discredit any actual valid arguments you might have.

Does anyone ever get the sinking suspicion that Google has a room full of people whose job is to get on forums and plant doubts into happy iPhone users minds?

It hasn't been mentioned in here but I'm thinking passbook is really being underlooked. With the power of Apple's marketing department, I can see it being adopted pretty quickly with many people using it.

Please don't be solipsistic...
Don't use words you don't understand....and your misuse of the word CLEARLY shows you have no idea what it means.

Don't overwhelm them with big words...
It would seem he overwhelmed himself. Judging from the fact, he clearly misused it (solipsism means egocentric), he obviously knows not what it means. But this wouldn't be the first time I've seen him grossly misusing big words. It's like he has a word-a-day calendar and wants to use very big word he sees...no matter how wrongly, and no matter how foolish it makes him appear.

I am sorry to disagree with you but I have the SSGS3 and as far as crispness goes, I cannot tell the difference between my retina ip4 and this device DESPITE how much larger the screen is! Retina is no longer an issue unless you have a POS older phone. As far as the glass design wanna hear something wierd? The SSGS3 FEELS like a smooth polished glass disc without being weighty or thick. So what if it is polymer, it is how it feels in the hand that matters, not necessarily what it is made of.

Oh and there is NOTHING wrong with my eyes FYI.

You are absolutely correct. The screen in the GS3 is easily a better display than the 4S. Anybody saying otherwise, obviously has not viewed any HD content on the GS3.

PS
The GS3 is made of polycarbonate. It's actually a premium material that is resistant to scratches, and very durable. I'd much rather have a polycarbonate phone who's durability is up there with kevlar, than an easily breakable glass phone.

It's only as breakable as you make it.

Sorry but there's no questioning the fact that the iPhone is more prone to cracking or breaking, than most other smartphones. Of course how you treat it will determine how long it lasts, and how well it holds up, but the material it is made from does play a role. Even the most careful person can inadvertently drop their phone. At that point, a combination of how the phone is built, and luck come into play. A phone that is made of glass is more likely to crack or break.
Put it this way, if most other phones land on their back, it will most likely be okay. It might suffer a scuff or a scratch, but there typically won't be any cracking. On the other hand, if the iPhone falls on it's back, it's much more likely to crack or break, than another smartphone that landed on it's back would be. That's why I don't think it was smart to make a phone out of glass.

If you're rough with your phone, of course you'll be more prone to cracking it. But then again, you can take steps to prevent that such as purchasing an Otterbox, Lifeproof, or Ballistic for mega protection. If you're someone like me who is careful with their devices, you can still go for the protection but the less bulky types like a Candyshell or Otterbox Commuter, etc.

It all depends on how you treat it and how you take care of it.

If you do drop it though, most Apple stores will replace it for you once (twice if you get a really nice Genius and you get lucky).

Apple has a surprise up its sleeve. Keep in mind a 4.8'' screen is not the latest and greatest. I for one want to keep it in my pocket comfortably.
Soon enough we'll all know the answer.

I agree that if you're more rough with your phone, it is more likely to break. That much is obvious. As for cases, I don't see the point in "premium materials", if you're going to cover them up with layers of rubber, and other "cheap" materials. I know people want to keep their phones from being damaged, but I (personally) feel it takes away from the phone's beauty, and defeats the purpose of it being made with "premium materials". Personally, I don't keep my phone in a case. I keep it in a holster on my hip when it isn't in use and that's it. If my phone can't stand up to being outside of a case, then I don't want/need it. Not saying that the iPhone can't stand up to not being in a case, but it is much more prone to breaking without having one (in comparison to many other phones). I think the next iPhone should be made out of something a bit more durable than glass.

The GS3 fits in pockets just fine, and quite comfortably.

Well then you're taking a risk. I personally use the speck candyshell and it looks great. It's a one piece case and it doesn't have 50 layers covering the phone. I'm not a holster type of person so those are out if the question for me :D

Yeah I understand there is a certain level of risk associated with carrying my device without a case, but that's what insurance if for. My deductible is $75, so if something does indeed happen, I'll just pay the deductible and be done with it. That said, I've been carrying my smartphones like this since the Windows Mobile days, and I have yet to have an issue (knock on wood lol). I just don't see the point in buying a slim phone if I'm just going to slap a thick case on top of it. What's the point in buying a beautiful looking phone, if I'm just going to cover it up. I bought my phone because of what it is, and how it looks. I want to get to enjoy what I paid for, not constantly worry about having to protect it.

PS
I take very good care of my phones, so I can get away with doing this. I don't necessarily expect everyone else to adopt the same line of thinking I employ, as it doesn't work for everyone.

All this thread proves is that the iPhone 4s _already_ owns the spotlight, and the iPhone 5 will continue to own it once released. When everyone and their brother is struggling to proclaim that they've got something "better than the iPhone" the game is already over.

Face it....even if you own an Android, the iPhone still rules your world. You are obsessed with it. You can't stop posting here and comparing it to the iPhone.

And that's ok really...but you aren't telling we iPhone owners something we don't already know. The iPhone is the center of your world too...you just haven't accepted that yet. :D
