iPhone 5 with iOS 7 is shutting down at 99 percent battery

even tho I can use it for as much time as I want with the battery charger plugged in but when I unplug it. The phone shuts off from 10 seconds later to 5 minutes later. It can shut down randomly at 99 percent or 95ish percent...The more days pass the worse the glitch is getting. It used to shut down at 40 percent randomly last week. When I had iOS 6 for the last time 2 months ago it was perfect with 10 hours battery but the more days passed with iOS 7 the phone gets out of control with the battery meter.

Restoring as new did not fix the battery meter problem for iPhone 5 iOS 7

I tried it and did not even download any apps after restoring and it still did the battery dying at 99 percent.....I don't understand what's going on. The battery can last countless time with the cable plugged in but when I disconnected it. It would just shut down randomly from seconds to 5 minutes.
It's a major problem with the iOS 7. Apple better see this because it's their fault for releasing an update with major bugs. It's not right paying for their mistakes.

Seems like a hardware issue to me if you did a complete restore w/ fresh copy of iOS7. I fail to see how this is an iOS7 issue or how Apple is at fault here. If this were as widespread as you say -- and iOS 7 is on 80% or so of all iPhones in the wild -- then it would be an "Antenna-Gate" proportion news story. FWIW I have an iPhone 5 on OS & and no battery issue at all. Mine lasts barely all day just like it always has.

I had a MPB that did premature shutdowns like you have. It was a bad battery.

Your battery has failed and needs replacement. This isn't specific to iOS 7.
