Funny, none of the old or current numbers match, seem to have grabbed an old company selling components such as transformers and reused it for scamming people with computers

The old company seems to have stumbled and lost their website, so it is ripe for a slight name change scam.

Edit ... their previous site, at least one of them which they already lost electricalsuk.co.uk

I like the feedback, it seems to be a copy of

What the hell does CostCo have to do with what we're discussing? CostCo does not sell items below cost, they sell at low prices due to huge buying power and a lower cost business model than other retailers.

You claim that because a company sells an item below some given cost, it's a scam. Yet that's exactly what companies like CostCo and Wal-Mart do every day. CostCo's cost on a given item is lower than, say, Target's. Yes, it's because CostCo buys more volume, but that doesn't change the fact that it's cost is lower. So is CostCo a scam because it sells items below Target's cost? Of course not, and such an argument is silly.

There are many reasons to think this site is a scam. But "it's cheap, therefore it's a scam" is not by itself a good one.

I never said it was a scam becasue it was cheap. I said it was because the items are being offered below cost. Big difference. Now can me move on from your inane argument?

Obviously a scam of one kind or another - the wording on the 'about us' reeks of scammer English. I can read British English very well, and whoever wrote this is not thinking in English.
For a quicker delivery we are also payments over the phone.
You're right, that's really poor English.
Oh, and there's no such thing as British English, it's just English ;)

So since last posting there is some pretty concrete evidence of a scam.

Is there anything we can do to shut these fools down?

I don't agree with that. For example, British English spells harbour, while American English spells harbor. I can read both and recognize the differences. In British English you word things slightly differently. American English says "He is in the hospital", British English says "He is in hospital". There are quite a few differences.

We all know there are differences, it is the naming which is wrong. If Apple opened up a new company in the UK and called itself UK Apple by your reasoning everyone should refer to the original as USA Apple. Of course this is wrong, the original should just be called Apple.

;)

No, there's just English, and incorrect English ;)

But he is offering the 2.4GHz which comes as standard with 250GB

So anyone got any theories on how to shut him down.

I might email him and tell him we have figured that he is a scammer and see what he does.

I think he'll probably ignore you! And given the number of these things on the net I can't imagine anyone else will be too interested either.

This is a scam guys!! He almost emptied my account and sent no freekn camera either. He only tells you to give ur details and he's good so be ware.. Coz he makes u think that its all cool, and that he knows exactly what he's talking about. Been to the police so hopefully they will track him down and something will be done about it.

Hope he hasn't done it to any of you yet.
And i hope this helps someone out there so they don't make same mistake as i made.

Ok well the company is http://electrocomuk.co.uk

I just didn't want them to get a load of abuse from people who just assumed they were scammers.

There address checks out and they have plenty of links to annual reports (which you sadly have to pay for) online.

Anyone claiming to sell a new MBP for £580 is a scammer. That is just common sense. You'd have to be a complete idiot to fall for this.
