Saw tons of links on digg to apple related stuff here and eventually made my way over to the forums for advice on purchasing my MBP.

I first started thinking about switching to a Mac about a year ago and used Google to learn a bit more about Macs and the people who use them. I guess cream flows to the top when it comes to the best places to find useful information--and MacRumors has been at the top of my list since I first discovered it!

A small white rabbit led me here.

My POS powerbook was acting up so I googled for some help and I found this site. You can't imagine how much that seemingly trivial detail ended up changing my life. </very long story very short>
And you've been on e ever since

....but not the illegal drug kind of e, obviously.

God came to me in a vision.

That wasn't God, that was Mad Jew!

I was just thinking about starting a thread about this!
well anyway, It was iPhone 3g launch day, and I was caught in the mess of apples server crash (july 11) I was pissed that I couldn't restore it, so I googled an answer. The rest was history...:D

A new friend showed it to me back at the beginning of freshman year of high school (man that feels like a century ago). That was before macs became extremely popular with the 15-25 group...so I was happy to have some other mac users to talk to, as I only knew 3 or 4 in real life (these days in college everyone has a mac...I probably know 50 people with macs). I also found it to be a good outlet for my inner geek, which tends to be entirely ignored until I get on here. :p

got a MBP. had no idea what it was capable of doing, so i googled some ideas "best things to do with a MBP" and this site was the first one. i kept reading and reading and reading, and then i got addicted. joined. posted. posted.posted. its kinda like drugs. one try is all it takes.

(not that i do drugs....) haha:eek:

no really.
i dont

I first heard about MacRumors back in 2002 during the run-up to MWSF that year. I joined the forums about a year later. I've been around a while, even though I haven't posted too much overall.

Came by this site a couple of years ago to check out the rumors of iPods that were about to be released. Probably linked here by another site.
