I punched a baby and one fell from the sky.

Then I woke up and waited in line for 2 hours and got mine the morning of the 11th.

I waited in line for an hour at the Apple store...on July 27th. These things are in extreme demand apparently.

Man I'm reAding about all you people who say you just walked in and got one you must count yourselves lucky because here in Atlanta it still seems there are HUGE lines at both the Perimeter and Lenox mall locations. I STILL get customers who come into My best buy store (which is right across the street) complaining about the long lines when they just want to be buy a mac....
Just yesterday I went into the mall just to see if I could get a new case (this was around 11:00am) and there was a line of about 30-35 people...

lolz i walked by the people in line at lenox and i held up my iphone 3g and i said are you guys waiting for this?

i thought i was gonna get mugged :[
but it made for a good laugh for me and my friends on the way to california pizza

I just got my iPhone today :D, went to the Apple Store at 7AM and was #5 in line. They opened their doors at 7:50AM let us all in at once and I was able to get my 16GB black iphone right away. I'm amazed that there still are lines, the trick seems to be to come in early and to do it during the week when most people are working.

I stood in line @ the Chestnut Street Apple Store in San Francisco. When I got there at 10:30am, there was about 15 people in front of me. After two hours I was 5th in line, but those four people in front of me took eons because they had so many God damn questions. So I ended up waiting 3.5 hours for mine. I was in and out in 5 minutes.

I happened to be driving through rural Connecticut for work, and stopped randomly at the West Farmington mall one day in the middle of the afternoon, about 3:30pm. I was #1 in line, and they had all models in stock. Niiice.

I had some activation problems relating to a family plan, but by the time I got out of there, around 5ish, there was a line about 25-30 people deep. Phew!

Got the last one in my area a few weeks ago

Phoned up several stores in my area, found only one 16GB white available on a Thursday, reserved it for the Tuesdays... then....

...got a company employee to queue and fetch it for me :D

Like that saying, ‘The best thing comes to those who wait....’

‘...for those who do the dirty work for you while you can put your feet up and chill.’ :)

Easy peasy lemon squeezy!!

Walked into a store in Mongkok, Hong Kong on 24th July.

Walked out 5 minutes later with my black 16gb factory unlocked iPhone. :D

Got mine in 15 minutes at the Oakridge Shopping Mall in San Jose, CA.

I was the 3rd in line at 9am (even though it says they open at 10am, the doors were wide open at 9) on July 24th.

I walked into the Apple store in Norfolk, VA on the afternoon of Aug 1st, and asked if they had an iPhone 3g 8gb. They said they did, and I walked out with the phone 15 minutes later. The next day I went back to purchase a case for my phone, and the line for the iPhone was about a 2 hour wait. I also sold my original iPhone 4gb for $200 the same day. I had the guy meet me in front of Apple for security.
