I use the roll-n-pocket technique. But I am amazed at how knots magically appear in the cords even when they just sit in your pocket. Seriously - how can a coiled headphone cord that is just sitting there wind up as ...

I usually shove them in my front pockets. I abuse the hell out of them, so they get no special treatment. They go just about everywhere with me.

I feel wrapping the headphones to the I-pod is not a good idea as the wires get twisted and may break off, I would suggest instead to go in for blue-tooth headsets. Try using one....

wow seriously old thread! I'm still using my budcase. Upgraded recently to their new model.

I pull them up to my head underneath my shirts (so they sit against my body then droop them over my collar underneath my sweater, the bottom part goes through the two front belt loops over to my pocket where my iPhone sits.

It's great for class if you have your hoody up, being as it's a lot harder for teachers to see you have earphones in (Though I have been out of school for quite sometime.

This is by far better than folding your earphones.

I work with cable every day, folding is bad. Coiling is much much better for them. After all; originally the cable comes in 100M~ coils :)

Hmm, have a dock at work and an aux cable in the car. I keep a set of earbuds by the exercise machine though...

just a word of caution guys, most cable wrapping techniques will severely stress the cable and actually cause damage. best thing is to loosely coil them and use something like an elastic band, or velcro tie, to hold the coils together.

I take the headphone cords, fold them together (in halves), then in half again and again until I feel they are small enough to be slid into my pocket. :)

Same. One set of Ultimate Ears earplugs that I bought came with a case but I found that the case was too cumbersome to use with my regular white 'phones.

I did once buy these little rubbery things that are made for wrapping your headphone cord around but I found they weren't worth the trouble.

While true, I have been carefully using my little guy for a long while now with no problems.
