Since I don't feel like reading any post above this one, and I assume everything up there is totally on topic (as it usually is, of course), here's how I like my steak:

As Well Done as can possibly be made. Not burnt, just well, well done. You can find that sweet spot between pink and dry.
 
Who knew there'd be so much controversy over steak?

For me it's rare...maybe medium rare. Properly rested rare is the best, though being a little more towards medium rare can have a different texture in a good way. I like steak tartare also, for something different.

For a regular steak I prefer a charcoal grill, though in the winter I'll do cast iron first, then under the broiler. Pepper, fleur de sel, some herbs, red wine reduction. Yum.


You can't get edible chocolate with toys inside, so now Überraschungei for you :(

That is really unfortunate, those were my absolute favorite when I was a kid (my family is Swiss). There must be a drawer full of the toys somewhere in my parents house.

Medium Well with Worcester sauce, cooked on a grill. I'm easy to please.
I tried rare... but I couldn't stomach it. I realize its all psychological but it still grossed me out.
 
We had two thick, succulent, pan-seared rare rib-eye steaks last night. I thought of this thread and almost wished I could share my awesome steak with you all. :p

Today I'll be buying fillet steak (filet mignon) for dinner tomorrow. I think someone from the cattle industry shilled us all to get us eating steak! Effective! :D
 
this thread made me quite hungry last night and I had reindeer medallions because of it.

and a lot of good German beer to go with it

I know it's not really a beefsteak, per se.
