Firstly, you're wrong. If you go to apple.com/orderstatus you pre-sign your order once it's shipped. Know your facts.

I have pre-signed many a times for Apple products using the Apple website "pre-sign" form. Although it has always been with Fedex. I followed the directions exactly as presented and the driver still won't leave it. I've asked them before why they don't leave it when they came back around again and they said even though I pre-sign Apple still doesn't want them to leave it without a person receiving it. Most likely it is driver preference. My UPS driver always leaves everything up to this point and I've never had an issue. Furthermore, I can't remember receiving an Apple product from UPS before either.

I will note I live way out in the country where there is an extremely low chance of theft as well. I don't know what Fedex's problem is.

Actually it's my understanding that by 10:30 means exactly that. There are many people that are "end of day" also, there must be some difference.
Anyway, I got the presign form from apple and am requesting them to leave it at back of my house.

It can be from 8AM til midnight. I think it depends on your area and how many deliveries he has on his route that day.
For mine, the UPS guy usually comes around 5PM. Sometimes 3PM, but mostly around 5PM.

When I ordered my MBP, I stayed home all day and the UPS guy came at 10:30PM. I read online that they have to finish all the deliveries that are in their trucks. So if they say your iPhone is out for delivery, you can be sure that you'll receive it that day.

Dont hold your breath. I spoke to UPS Chat and they said dont count on it even if it says before 1030am. I was wondering the same thing.....

YOU CAN PRE-SIGN. Dont give false info.

Had you read my post you'd know that this was the information I was given and I never claimed it was 100% correct. Don't respond without reading the entire post. UPS told me that even with the printed release, I must be present. At this point I don't care if it's correct or not, the caps and attitude is not welcome.

Exactly.

Exactly.

Caps was to emphasize that you can. Not to be mistaken with yelling at you. Have a nice day.

I spoke with UPS chat and they said that you have to ignore that because its not entirely true. (Mine also stated that)

Lower right of UPS.com it says "Live Chat" You can ask for yourself if you would like. :apple:

Just got off the phone with UPS and they said if it says by 10:30, its coming by 10:30.

I am signing the paper already so If I miss them I won't have to worry.

If you miss the delivery just go pick it up at the local distribution center. Done this many times. Oy.

Not gonna work. Guess why? If the truck is still out making deliveries, the local center can not give it to you. right?

What's up with your attitude? I've spoken with them and they said they won't leave it regardless. Whether or not that's accurate, you need to sit down with that smart response.
Right, Apple has a form with a UPS logo on it that you can print out and sign... for nothing? Right

Tomorrow late afternoon/evening. Don't expect a early residential delivery. They are going to be swamped tomorrow and they are not very happy about it. At least that's what I was told by my driver. They HATE iPhone launches. Ether way they have to deliver it. But they do businesses 1st, the residential.

I know someone who works as a UPS driver and they will leave it if you have the apple pre-sign form. The reason for this, at least for Apple, is they have special arrangement with the carrier and UPS can do it. Of course it is still up to the driver's discretion, but they are allowed to if they feel it's Ok.

Generically pre-signing for a package, like through UPS MyChoice, they won't do (it mentions it on their site), which is most likely what the person you talked to thought you were referring to.

Always good to have inside information. Thanks ruler22.

same here.

I've had deliveries at work as early as 6:30am, since he has a key...and as late as 10:00pm at home during the holidays.

I'm resigned to 6:00 pm because I'm at the end of his route, but leaving a pre-sign just in case. I've pre-signed for Apple stuff in the past, it's never been a problem.

Firstly, you can't pre-sign. Even if you are a My Choice UPS member and the package states it has a shipment release Apple's terms override that. Second it depends on the route of your driver and where it starts.

You can pre sign. I just got the form from my apple order page.

Have you ordered anything and had it delivered by UPS in the past?

Every time I have something shipped by UPS it usually arrives around 5-8pm.
