On a different island. :/

But there is an Apple reseller about 25-30 minutes away from my house.

Less than a 20 minute walk! However I won't have the same luxury when I start university next month!

3 hours is the closest, 4 hours is next, 8 is next.

Not sure why I would need an apple store, apple does good RMA work for the most part and I service quite a few macs myself.

I hate you all!!

Let's see...

15 min to the airport
1h30/2h to check in, security stuff, random airport stuff
2h to get to London
45min+ to get luggage, get out of the airport
1h+ to get to central London
Whatever more to get to the Regent Street Apple Store

Now let me hear you complain how the nearest Apple Store is a 2h drive from where you live!

I wish I could travel to London every time I needed to go to the Apple store...

:D

Providence Place is less than 15 minutes away, but that store is terrible.

There's almost 10 in the Boston metro area that are all within an hour too

The Apple store in Vancouver is in a Mall, and the new highspeed train stops inside the mall too :p

By Car: 10-15 minuets (depending on traffic)
By public transit: 15 minuets

<60min: the drive to the Apple Store closest to where I live (Legacy Village) averages about 40-45min, depending on traffic and if I feel like driving the speed limit (not usually :))... it's too bad I don't have one closer to me or I'd have opted for going to pick up my copy of Snow Leopard instead of ordering it online, oh well.

But hey, having an apple store so close is not that a big a deal to me... unless your the type to wander in every so often to play around on the macs and ipods...I never understand why people do this. Granted its mainly kids I see who are surfin websites, but seriously sometimes a mac store can appear like a social hangout for some .

Fair enough if you want but dont/cant own a mac, but for people who do...I dont get it, just go home and play around on your own:D

...and even though I have mac stores which are very close to me, I still bought online.

Google maps says the closest Apple store from me is a 20 minute walk. I'm that's the long way though, cutting through parks and parking lots I've walked there in 15 minutes easy. :D

There's 6 official Apple retail stores in the greater Dallas - Fort Worth Area. The closest one to my house is about 30 minutes. But in the Metroplex you never know what will happen with traffic so I voted under an hour. Now if we're talking authorized resellers well that would be too numerous to count with Fry's, Best Buy, and others. It is nice to have options though. I feel for you people who have to travel long distances to "try before you buy". How sad. :(

Mine's over 4,250km (2650 miles) away. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

P.S. Anyone on here in Deadhorse, AK that wants to put me to shame?

About 2000 miles. I don't really know how long it takes to get there one way. I'm on the southern end of the Kenai Peninsula.

a good 2 hours (more like 2.5 with traffic)

to Toronto (square one, sherway)

or Detroit (partridge Creek or somerset)

i'm in boston, ma

cambridge to be clear and i work south of boston. i don't think i'm ever more than 20 min from an apple store regardless where i go. steve has surrounded me. no way to leave town with money in my pocket. it all goes to apple. we have an apartment in manhattan 10 min away from the apple store in SOHO. so even there I'm screwed. when we lived in california it was in pasadena. 10 min away from the apple store there. apple is stalking me. i'm a lost cause.
