No, if anything I'm upset that their marketing video isn't based on anything.
I have a 5C and its a wonderful device. If it had been priced at $350 even $399 off contract, it would've been arguably the greatest smartphone release of 2013. As it stands, the 5C is a wonderfully designed alternative to the 5S.
You compare it to the 5S, but you didn't explain how it differentiates itself from the 5, which as far I'm aware, it doesn't.
So its got the same internal specs. Not everyone bases their purchasing decisions on spec numbers alone. Perhaps Apple sees equal value in design, look, feel, experience.
In what way are the look, feel and experience different from the 5? It runs the same software. It's the same shape. It even has the same physical buttons and ports.
It'll never cease to amaze me how upset people get about Apple's marketing strategy. As if it affects them at all.
It does affect us all. That's how marketing is supposed to work. If it only sold to people who were going to buy it anyway, it wouldn't be very good marketing.
