Yeah GGJ, don't point lazy posters to long threads, they might have to read them and get their answers.

Anyway, 10.6.6 completely f***ed up my system, I can no longer watch the lesbian vampire porn without Twilight music playing in the background, therefore no tru blood is pumping through my mouthorgan.

Seems the thread you got linked to does contain no valid information.

UK user here - got 10.6.6 installed and the App Store running, but whenever I try and download something, it says "The digital distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or may not have been signed."

Tried several apps, all the same result. Anyone else got this?

I downloaded it around 8:40am Eastern time. I restarted and installed a couple apps. Works as expected. I wanted to try it quickly before tons of people started using it and it started to bog down.

One thing I don't appreciate is every app I install going into my dock. I like Angry Birds, but not enough to have it in my dock. Same goes for Twitter. I wonder if there is/will be an option to customize this? I guess Lion will have the Mission Control feature so maybe it will stop doing this.

Works great for me, just bought Pages and Aperture, great deals!!
Quick downloads as well.

Seeing as that update was mainly for introducing the Mac App Store, you should wait till Mac OS X 10.2.8.

Those links are filled with posts by people who have tried 10.6.6 and who are posting their experiences with it. If you don't want to read them, that's your call, but the links are directly relevant to your question. If you want to ask a different question, do so.

Since you appear to have difficulty reading the information provided, here are some of the results of the search I posted a link to (sorry, but these require clicking and reading, as well):

GGJstudios is correct. Your simple question was answered by him, in a way that fulfills your needs and contributes to the thread showing you that there's already been a lot of discussions made to which you can gain wisdom from.

I am personally having major issues, which I gather are a spotlight issue of continuously indexing my Windows 7 partition on every reboot.

The result is a extremely sluggish OSX experience, rendering it almost usable.

If you have a Windows partition on your machine. I'd highly advise against it. Here are a couple of Apple discussion threads relating to this issue.

This is a proposed solution of placing your boot camp partition in the privacy field in spotlight preferences, although I have yet to verify it.

I have a Windows 7 partition on my Mac computer and I had a problem with Spotlight searches taking a long time to come back with results. Adding the Windows partition to the Privacy list resolved my problem.

I dont see App store process running but i think that is because i deselected "Remote Desktop Client Update" simply because i dont see the need for it...maybe something i am missing though.

I still seem to have the same number of processes running as i did before updating to 6.6.

No problems as far as stability or performance on my first generation mac pro. Well now i just clicked the app store icon and the interface came up and it is using half cpu percentage as Firefox with 10 tabs open - 7 threads compared to 35 for firefox too. I dont think any other processes are related to app store either.

Well, the App Store icon on my dock somehow manages to inform me on available updates (with a little red number on the icon) without the App Store actually running. Whether this is a new separate process or has been shoved in as part as an existing one, I have no idea.

Since upgrading to 10.6.6, safari hangs, beachballs loading most web pages, unstable/stuttering scrolling, finder crashing/rebooting when opening folders, trackpad unresponsive at times.

Yeah, really wishing I had not run the update. Repaired disk permissions a few times, and it keeps finding stuff to repair each time, deleted the appropriate plist files and rebooted a couple times.

Really not happy with this "update".

No problems on Macbook4.1 with 3gb Ram. It seems like everything is a bit faster.

I did a Vanilla install of Snow Leopard on my Core i7 Quad Hackintosh, and everything worked great through 10.6.2. On HD1, the update to 10.6.3 broke my sound. On HD2, the update to 10.6.4 also broke my sound. I have fixed the sound, but I will not do any more updates to my system.

The updates to 10.6.3 and 10.6.4 definitely improved the speed of my computer, so I am not taking any chances with new updates that might slow it down.

I just finished updating a couple hours ago... and had no problems whatsoever... Snow Leopard still purrs like it always has with me ;)

Sound settings

Every day I have no sound. When I open the system preferences and the control panel sound, the output is set to CD spin doctor instead of the built-in internal speakers. When I reset it, the next time I use Toast titanium I have again no sound and the setting is again CD spin doctor.
Also, when I run Xbench: the OpenCL Graphics Test is slower (250-260 vs 275)

Those of you having trouble, did you use Software Update or did you download the full Combo Update and run it that way?

Also, anyone here run Bluecoat's K9 Web Protection internet filter? The last two times I've done an update like this to 10.6, K9 starts throwing kernel panics. I have to uninstall K9 completely, then reinstall after the update to avoid this. Big pain in the ass.
