Upgraded the iPad and its smoother. Im hoping it helps with safari crashing.

I don't really have any issues with the 5S so not sure if I am going to update unless its much faster etc.

I agree, everything seems considerably faster, and TouchID especially seems to have doubled in speed. I'm highly impressed.

Edit: opening apps with Siri seems way quicker too. It blows the 7.0 updates away.

Just did it. Used update vs restore as I don't want to wait for 60GB of data to restore.

It is snappier. Not sure why the rumors say it will be March until it is released.

My guess is they adjusted the animation speed. Prob took a couple lines of codes or a simple numerical adjustment. The animation speed is what it should be now.

with everyone else, huge difference. I hated 7.0, but 7.1 makes it a lot more tolerable. Everything is snappier, web pages load faster, unlocking is faster, everything is just night and day better.

Night and day better.

7.0x anything is horrible compared to 7.1b2

7.1b2 should have been the first public release of iOS 7 if you ask me.

If you want better battery life do a dfu restore.

Enjoy!

I don't really find it to be THAT different. Animations are slightly faster, though many of us won't notice with reduced movement on.

Little bounce when you open the notification and control centers. Most of us won't use the features to outline buttons or dark keyboard.

Otherwise I notice no major difference. 7.0.4 worked great, so does 7.1b2.

7.0.4 feels like an early beta.....it's actually terrible.

7.0.4 wasnt that bad on my 5S. but 7.1 beta 2 is noticeably faster. this is more obvious in the animations and app switching/opening. i havent really encountered any bugs and the battery is so far stellar.

I am noticing better battery life. Unplugged my phone yesterday am and used it to stream spottily at at home for several hours and used it normally and by the end of the day I had over half batter left which wasn't he case before.

what about crashes? anyone faced up with safari crashes? :) because on 7.0.4 with 5S i get randomly safari crashes and logs of low memory while with iPhone 5 in one years never got this o_O

I don't use Safari much but I haven't had it crash on me yet. I usually just use the google search app and then open up a page in Safari if I want to read it.

I haven't had a single device reboot since updating to B2.

no safari crashes and no more random resprings

7.1 b2 is absolutely fantastic. I'm shocked at how smooth and refined everything feels. MUCH better build than 7.0.4.

That is an awfully big statement. What exactly do you feel is SOOO awful about 7.0.4? I've had great luck with iOS 7 since the early betas.

7.0.4 is terrible. No way should a so called stable release of IOS be released to the public in this condition. 7.1 fixes it all. B2 is rock solid.

I've only had one respring on my iPad air since installing beta 2, and one Safari crash, but my 5s has been flawless. I wouldn't call it ready for the general public yet, but it's damn close. Once they iron out the odd glitch that still exists it'll be nigh on perfect.

I haven't tried it on my Air yet. I haven't bothered registering it yet for access. I get way way too many resprings on it tho. Especially when accessing multitasking.

I really wish JB was pushed off until 7.1. I can only pray Apple doesn't patch until 7.1.x like until iOS 6.1.3
