with everyone else, huge difference. I hated 7.0, but 7.1 makes it a lot more tolerable. Everything is snappier, web pages load faster, unlocking is faster, everything is just night and day better.
Is Safari snappier too?

....That said, if you had upgraded me from 7.0.4 to 7.1b2 while I was asleep and not told me, I don't think I'd know it happened. There's nothing insanely different.
But after you spend a few days, you'd definitely notice it if somebody downgrade you to 7.0.4 while you were asleep.
I see a lot of people say the same thing on other updates such as they don't notice any differences between ML and Mavericks until they downgrade to ML and noticed it was just slower and crappier. Just as 7.1 will be for majority of folks, no noticeable differences but if they were to go back to 7.0.4, they'll feel it.
Strange how that works out.
please apple implement some kind of swype![]()
it's been a while since I clean installed iOS. how do you retain texts/call logs?
Uh, elaborate? I've been rolling on 7.0.4 problem free for the last two and a half weeks.
Problem free ? Are you using Safari ? In iOS 7.0.4 Safari is somewhat buggy in memory management.
With Mercury Browser I solved 90% of my issues ...

The only problem Safari ever had was the tab reloading issue. Other than that, never a single crash.
I do agree, but the problem is exactly that !
The tab reloading is done because Safari is eating up a lot of memory (compared to mercury browser the ratio is almost 2:1 !) and this could end in a crash for some users and in tab reloading for others.
Sure, but what I'm getting at is that it's... an issue, but a relatively minor one. It's good that it got fixed in 7.1 but it's a far cry from 7.0.4 being some wasteland of bugs and crashes.
For some there have been more/bigger/frequent issues though so 7.1 might be a truly noticeable improvement for them.Sure, but what I'm getting at is that it's... an issue, but a relatively minor one. While for others who have been having crashing and/or respring issues more frequently it can perhaps be a much bigger improvement (perhaps not "night and day", but quite possibly quite a bit more than just "a little better").And it IS an improvement. Just not, in MY experience, a night and day situation. More "the same but a little better".
You can't![]()
Just do the upgrade instead of restore. I did it on my 5s and air and it worked great. I only do a restore if I'm running a beta if a completely new OS version.
I don't have an iPhone 5 - I've got a 4S, 5S and iPad 2 and have loaded iOS 7.1 beta 2 on all of them and it has been a night and day difference for me compared to iOS 7.0.4.So are you guys with iPhone 5's chancing it and doing 7.1b2 with expiration removal?
I think 7.0.4 (was) buggier than my iPhone 5 on 7.0.4. Namely, safari crashing.
But still might dabble with iPhone 5 on 7.1.
